- A quick drive in Miami from Pinecrest to Downtown Miami via US-1 & Brickell. US-1 straddles many neighborhoods in Miami, including Kendall, South Miami, Coconut Grove, Coral Way, and Brickell. The Miami Metrorail is visible from its southern terminal at Dadeland South until turning off into Brickell at SW 32nd Road.

Hey there. Our family home was on 152nd Street (East), I went to HS in Pinecrest (Miami Palmetto Sr High) I lived off of Sunset Drive in South Miami for a number of years, and then my final US Address on Washington and 21st street on the beach. Across from the Miami Beach Convention Center. There is a really huge development all along US 1 moving towards downtown I noticed. None of those tall building were there when I lived there.

If you havent already, you should explore the residential streets of Pinecrest and Coral Gables. Some of the most beautiful properties in Miami-Dade in my opinion

I want to clap my Heel 3 times and say I wish I was in Florida I wish I was in Florida I wish I was in the Florida
You'll be clapping them again wishing you never came! Florida is only "pretty" due to the ocean and palm trees. But truth is, it's expensive as all out doors, the heat is unbearable like an oven on your face all day, traffic is obsurd, ppl get killed frequently due to hit and runs or crashes, car insurance is either double or triple what is in other states due to insane drivers and traffic. Jobs are 10 and 11 bucks an hour still for many ppl. Non English speakers get most of the jobs bcz FL neeeeeedds them. FL would actually prefer slaves. Hotels and restaurants have ROACHES quite often. Alligator attacks on the news, a woman was hanging out at the pond and was killed by 2 alligators. A man was attacked but survived 🙏
You'll rarely get the pleasure of a cool "breeze".. You'll miss the crisp mornings of Fall, but you'll be greeted in FL with hot sweltering heat that often stinks..
The beaches are so packed at times there's rarely parking which also gets expensive. The rent is high almost everywhere and I've come to learn that FL "markets" itself with pictures to control the masses of beach and 🌴, but unless you're RICH, it's better to vacation and leave. Once I'm outta here I wouldn't even want to vacation here.
Notice every car has their windows UP. That sweltering heat is like checking on a pot roast in the oven but it doesn't stop!
Maybe one day it can be true!

Just when driving know what hospital is around you. Just something you should know about. In Miami or south Florida in general it’s the university of Miami medical or dade memorial depending, central Florida it’s advent health or Orlando regional medical center, Tampa it’s all on Tampa general, north Florida it’s Shands which is attached to the university of Florida, the panhandle and the capital is emerald coast I think it’s hard to tell but advent health has a huge presence around the state so you could always go there. Just be a little cautious as the company is entirely seventh day Adventists and basically they don’t work Sundays. Actually almost the entire state is pretty deserted on Sunday as people stay home until like noon or 1. Mostly they go out to handle church service or whatever. You will notice stuff like that once you live here long enough. The level 1 trauma centers don’t close and they are crazy busy every hour.
