Thank you so much! I has horrible whistling and vibrations. I did a bit of sanding and implemented a Donaldson trailing edge and…silence!

Thank you very much Mario, my foils (Takuma Kujira2) are noisy and vibrating a bit at low speed eg on surfing the swell, both 1250 and 950 sizes, I will gently sand everything (foils, stabs, mast) thanks to your excellent explanations :)

in this video you sand the pressure side of the stabilizer .. in "How to finish the trailing edge of your Levitaz foil" you explained, that you should sand the low-pressure side .. a bit confusing :D

Yes I understand the confusion. The reason is that acually both works to get the noise to go away and there are different theories around as to what is correct.
As Mario said, what is needed is this Donaldson Trailing Edge but the side is not that important.

Fantastic video, can you show how to sand the rest of the foils also to keep them at their peak ?

Hey Nicholas, thank you for your feedback!
Would you like a general maintenance video of the foil or something like repairs?

@@LevitazHydrofoils it would be absolutely fantastic if you could do both. ( how you recommend to fix scratches near wing tips or on mast ) and also how you recommend to sand the foil after fixing it for max performance/speed) You would be one of the first manufacturer to give this level of support, but it would be greatly appreciated.

Mario, can you help me understand why it is best to create the oblique shape on the pressure side as opposed to the suction side? Looking at the starting profile shape, it would seem more natural to create the Donaldson Cut by altering the suction side of the trailing edge. Thank you.

What do you think about using magnetic stainless bolts? and getting a magnetic cap on top of the bolt to reduce turbulence ? ie to plug the bolt while in use
