I wonder how things would have played out if Taylor stayed dead. I actually didn't expect her to return since it showed her body or at least we thought it was. I think the writers bought her back so Ridge could bounce back and forth like he always did. Do wonder if Steffy would be calling Brooke mom if Taylor never returned. I always wonder that too. When Brooke was back n forth between Nick and Ridge, it was Ridge’s children (specifically Thomas) who pushed Ridge to not give up and fight for Brooke because they felt he’d be happy with her. That was one of the reasons why Ridge wouldn’t leave Brooke alone when she was moving on with Nick.
Brooke later claimed to have had a miscarriage. When the truth about the baby came out Ridge actually tells Brooke he knows she kept it from him because she knew that he would leave her. When he does make the decision to leave Brooke, he and Taylor go on to live together for years even though Brooke continues throwing herself at him and taking up with other men just to make him jealous but none of it works.

They were on the rocks from literally day one of this show with Steph proclaiming Ridge the most important man in her life, and that was well before Brooke was "ruining" her life.
Also, she and Thomas never slept together. they ate some hallucinogenic berries while waiting to be rescued from an island they crashed on. Also, she and Thomas never slept together. they ate some hallucinogenic berries while waiting to be rescued from an island they crashed on.
