Point Crow did get very unlucky, but I watched him stream this, and when he waited for an egg, he literally just stood by ONE chicken for ~10 minutes. I'm pretty sure there were other chickens nearby, but he just stood in one point, waiting, instead of running around to check them all, and it drove me crazy LOL
He did waste a lot of time, and smant could’ve said that a mushroom biome is near spawn and he could’ve gone there
A chicken should drop an egg within 5 mins, why go to other chickens when you don’t know what cycle your current one is on, however if you see a group of more you should swap unless you’ve put in 4 or more mins

@@thatcommenter9111If you get seeds, it seems smarter to just group them together so you can wait for all 3 at the same time! Then you won’t need to sacrifice being away from one chicken with a potentially better cycle.
Point Crow got screwed on so many of his goals it was insane. Like he generates anti-luck.
wasn't even his luck tbh, he literally threw lol, he himself said how he forgot to kill a slime and it despawned, plus no reason to run as far as he did since everything is within 1.5k of spawn. Just lack of experience and poor planning
@@davit4005 Unless I missed something, that one he missed may have been chat fucking with him, and even if it existed, he wasn't allowed to kill it since CJ had declared a break.
@@CaptianKatsura pretty sure he mentioned that he missed it not during the break, plus he made a lot of misplays on his part. Majority of the goals he took on were all biome goals, yet he chose to travel 5k blocks out. Smart play would have been to reset and explore around spawn, which he ended up only doing after CJ did
@@davit4005 he wasn't aware of that until like the midpoint and then the sunk-cost fallacy was heavily playing its role
@@DeepDishDepression smant told him about the 1.5k block radius pretty early on, he was just too invested in his goal (as you mentioned) to try and do the smarter play, which i consider a throw

I actually love that. There's a Vi Hart video where she does the 3 utility problem but makes it harder, and in the process talks about the whole concept. It's fascinating.

Poke 7 holes in that plate and it's basically the same thing as a human
Smallant is really good with these. I can really watch all his lockout VODS in a breeze.
His only problem i would say is his horrible inventory management and that he always have the hard items for an objective, but not the simple ones which is again, part of the inventory management problem.
Sometimes is just better to get more wood than needed than not having enough wood, same with food and iron.
Edit: Also his Luck is pretty much either too good or too bad, there is no in between
he has the stream and competition to think about so i wouldnt worry about it
I think the biggest problem with his inventory management isn't actually the inventory management, but rather focus management, given that he has a tendency to inventory manage more when he's more distracted, which leads to more muscle memory based sorting and less forward planning, which is how you get stuff like throwing out necessary items (e.g. leather for armour set) and useful items (e.g. string for wool that he'll want in 5 mins) while holding onto garbage (rotten flesh, useless food, spider's eyes) and split item stacks.
It's not something that is inherently bad or unexpected from a streamer, but it definitely ups his odds of losing matches. Of course, if he keeps the lockouts up and notices it, it shouldn't be too difficult to remedy it enough to keep his streaks going.
He also tends to do a lot of small, unnecessary and dumb risks like not being full health while bridging across lava in a place where a random blaze can just snipe you out of nowhere. He does that often. Not marking coords, instead of combing the place for the portal he literally physically runs around the circle for 10 minutes and gives up.
He left gold in the shipwreck chest (with a gold tool goal) but took it from the buried treasure. Seems like a mistake, but the only reason I wouldn't do it is because I instinctively take everything from chests.
I keep forgetting that these are like a year behind, so I'm like "Wait a minute... Something's off here.."
Nonetheless, love seeing the VOD channel rise from the dead; great video, and the daily uploads are awesome.

They’re not gonna do collabs anymore, PCrow was upset with the way lots of the community treated him as a “worse small ant” and the comparisons got so bad that brands would work with Pcrow and then immediately ask to be put in contact with small ant which felt degrading. He felt that as it was hurting his feelings and he wanted the comparisons to end it would be best to work parallel to each other from now on as fellow content creators as opposed to doing frequent collabs. They still think each other are cool, but are not really close enough for collabs atm.
Just thought I should let you know as I only found out about a week ago.

Im pretty sure part of your issues was also the portal needed to be lit before it gets there. if you light it when hes there he doesnt "enter" the portal when it just spawns on him.

I love the direction Smant has taken his videos. It's been said before by more articulate people than I, but how he started with SMO speed running, then going into modded challenges, now he's playing Minecraft of all things and it's some of the most entertaining stuff I've seen.

Should have definitely traded rather than gone to soul sand valley, as there was enough gold for 10 obsidian + some iron.
He took some bad decissions during that time, like not puting his stuff into a chest and killing himself to just return through the portal (Because he was really close)
But at the same time its fair to say they wouldnt win anyways because pointcrow didnt do anything useful (Yes he got unlucky but knowing you only needed to find mushroom biome he could kill himself 1 hour ealier and just search for that goal)
Was fun overall

There was lot of salt at the end there but if we're being real most of these in general are luck based one way or another. Enchant=find diamonds. Iron tools=get lucky and find iron first. Potion+Ender chest=get lucky and find a fortress with nether wart first. Trade with Piglin should be piss easy but they were in the nether first by like 20 minutes and somehow didn't get it. Sure you did some of the skill based stuff like the Zoglin but they went to the end so idk. Implying the luck made this win illegitimate is kinda lame.
