I won’t dispute Duke’s Mayonnaise, but I’m all in on Blue Plate. My favorite memory of spending time at my grandmother’s house, with my cousins, was having a snack, a “kneeling-down” sandwich made with Blue Plate Mayonnaise on Evangeline Maid bread (local in Louisiana). If you didn’t know, a “kneeling-down sandwich, is a slice of bread folded in half. I can get Blue Plate in Texas, but when I go to Louisiana, I’ll bring a loaf back home with me, and relive the memories. Dukes is available in my area, also, but I can’t forget the sweet times with Blue Plate. Now, I have the privilege of making those same memories with my Great-grands. Thank you, Jesus.❤
I make mine the same as yours. I smash my eggs with a fork, because I don't like to bite into the whites of the egg. Always eats with Lays plain chips. I also let my eggs come to a boil, turn burner off and let the eggs sit for 15 minutes. Comes out perfect. Have a bless day..
I make mine with onion, dill relish and celery, Duke mayonnaise or hellmann's, I serve it on white bread with baby leaf spinach instead of lettuce, and I also butter the bread first, this is so good served cold and cut into little ladyfingers sandwiches
I "chop" up my eggs with a pastry blender. Works like a charm. I put onion, mayo, salt, pepper and sometimes celery. And it needs to be made ahead and chilled for the onion taste to get through it.
So funny.. one of my very favorite things is an egg salad sandwich... but I love it with olives in it! (Originally from New England? Thought that was just a common thing until I read the comments here and NO ONE has mentioned oliives. hmm.. I love egg and olive!) .. Funny story.. years ago when I was with my mom on her very first airplane ride ever (to Dallas to visit my uncle). My mother didnt think I was right when I said that the airline would feed us, so she packed egg salad sandwiches... which she started to eat on the runway just before take off... When the plane ascended, she gripped the seats super tightly and the egg salad squished between her fingers.. omg talk about embarrassing.. and your hubby is soo right.. the ENTIRE plane stunk of eggs!! hahahaha.. omg i miss my mommy ~ Thanks.. stay safe!
Love egg salad especially on white bread but I will eat it on my healthy bread. I’m pretty plain Jane with my egg salad. I actually grate my boiled eggs because sometimes the whites texture bothers me. Crazy, because I can eat just about anything. Then I add salt n pepper and Mayo. Plain, but it’s yummy with Lays Potato chips.😋
I learned from my granny - 1 pkg cream cheese blended with Dukes Mayo , mustard , smoked paprika ,green onion , sweet relish , salt pepper lil bit of garlic powder !
When I first made egg salad, I only used mayonnaise, salt & pepper. My husband & is not a fan of anything with eggs, so we definitely don't have egg salad very often. When I do make it, nowadays though, I do sometimes add some pickle relish & once it's on the bread (whatever type - plain, toasted, bagel or bun, etc.) I put a little paprika on top of the egg salad.
Love egg salad sandwiches ! Yum. 👍😎👍❤️😋😋dill relish and that’s it if anything. I don’t care for the sweet relish. But that’s just me. 😬. Looks delicious.
I cut my eggs just like that. I make my tuna really dry too. And I add about two tablespoons of buttermilk ranch salad dressing to my tuna salad. It’s delicious!
Omg i love egg salad sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes and sliced jalapeno... Its a new york thing maybe... We like lettuce and tomatoes on all our sandwiches out here.
I make mine with green pimento olives chopped up and Best mayonnaise and salt and pepper and that’s it and sometimes just mayonnaise and salt & pepper on fresh white bread the softer the better it’s my favorite sandwich 😍 and my granddaughter loves it ♥️
Simple and easy meal , but tasty! I couldn't agree more with Pastor about the smell after cooking the eggs. Trash goes out immediately after boiling eggs in my home🤣
I always use half mayo and half miracle whip. Then I put salt and pepper. Then on toasted buttered bread open faced. Sometimes I ad tuna love egg and tuna salad mixed together!!

I make mine like deviled eggs starting with the yolks and then add the whites. Don't know why i just think it taste better lol My granny always said the grey ring on the eggs was from cooking them too long I do mine about 9 mins they are done through and I have never gotten the grey ring
I like watching you because we cook similar.. I make my egg salad almost like you except I just use sweet pickle juice and not the actual pickles.. My husband doesn't care for the actual pickles in it..
I cain’t believe I have not seen this 🎥 on 🥚’s. So , I always boiled eggs for years then earlier I saw 👀 where steaming them was supposed to be the thing too do. So, I did and would you believe I managed to burn 🔥 the four eggs. What a smell, my husband says I could burn the bottom out of a black hole 🕳. Haha.
