I am so glad you play so thoroughly. I missed quite a bit more by far in the books and characters. the uh... Teethlings had a ton of dialogue that is important for a great emotional rollercoaster later. In that fortress I did the coolest thing by mistake, cast greese through the door and it exploded when hitting a torch on the other side and blew the door closed. Then I opened it with the lever long enough to let one through, closed the door and killed them, opened to let another through, closed it and killed them...one by one. Ill add, I entered through the door not the hole.
I love the Teethlings! I don’t know if I can ever bring myself to do an evil run where they end up being raided by the goblins :(( I’m so attached to them now. Hahaha an explosion can also blow a door closed? This game is just too cool. I love closing the door on enemies, it’s so funny to me that I can shut it in their face
1:10:42 Equipping a torch on Lae'zel. Torches are ok. Gale can learn the "Light" cantrip (i'm sure probably other classes can too). He can cast it on anyone and it lasts until you rest. Best of all, it doesn't fill your hands, doesn't weigh anything, and doesn't burn itself to ash. But best, best of all: you don't ever accidentally unequip a light cantrip and forget to put Lae'zel's sword in her hand. You know, like you did with the torch at 1:11:46. :)
1:07:16 "Does food rot?" Not that I have noticed. I ended up with hundreds of food items totaling over a thousand camp supplies. I never found any rotten food in the bag or in the storage chest. This changes nothing, other than using your turn to damage an ally instead of an enemy. I do it all the time too. Usually not when I click the wrong ability but I do have them hotkeyed and every now and then I select the wrong hotkey. Another favorite way I damage my friends is I'll choose a spell, like say Melf's Acid Arrow, then I will change my mind and decide to let one of my other characters take a turn, only, I forget to cancel the spell before I click that other character's portrait and POOF, I shoot them with my spell. I manage that one about once per four combats, more or less.
Hahaha these blunders make for really fun rp interactions in my head. Like Shadowheart was so fed up with Lae’zel and just let that Sacred Flame stray a little to the left from target 😂
I cast Call Lightning last night at level 6 for the extra damage. It's a concentration spell, and can be recast every turn so I figured it was good value. The next turn I cast Sleet storm... also a concentration spell (apparently!) and there went my only level VI spell slot, hehe.

Really enjoying your play through style. It's different from what i usually watch. You have a great broadcast voice, it would not be out of place in podcasts and radio also. Glad you are playing a good aligned bard, that is going to be my first choice too for when I get the time to play. They make such good face characters to explore all the dialogue options in game, you can really get a lot more of the story options and side content out of the game imho. I also like the "loot monkey" style (which I am and you rarely see in play throughs) that you do and the willingness to explore the side stuff and not just rush to the end. It's hard to find that in other BG3 play throughs so I hope this series does really well for you. In the spirit of helpfulness I just wanted to point out a few things. 1. PERFORMANCE, where you pull out the violin to play a song, has no benefits in combat. It is intended to be used out of combat to distract large groups of NPCs and possibly make money from a crowd. For example, you could unchain your bard from the group and play a song for some kids hiding underground to gather them into a spot where they can't see a different character sneak up to a chest and take stolen items out. 2. GALE (unarmored caster types) dies a lot because he has the lowest AC and enemies will priority target him. Mage armor can be cast on him to bump him up 3AC and it lasts between long rests. (Shield spell is great very helpful too). 3. There is a specific equipment slot on the character sheet for them to equip lit TORCHES so you can just hot key it and switch between openly carrying a weapon and a torch ( a big help for loot monkeys). Casting LIGHT cantrip on a characters weapon will also work like a torch , lasts between long rests. 4. FOOD does not rot 5. Your STR of 10 won't get you any bonuses for melee attack weapons but your high DEX 14 will get you a +2 attack on ranged weapons and FINESSE melee weapons (dagger, rapier, scimitar, short sword). Good to know for what weapons she might chose to equip and how you want to do physical damage in your build. 6. Your BARD chose the subclass College of Valour, which means she can use better medium armors (than the basic Padded/Light armors) and shields ( of which a basic one should get you at least +2 AC) to help you stay alive longer too. Keep up the good work and thank you for doing your play through.

"I just want to see your underwear" lol. Too early for romance but... You say Astarion sounds snooty, that's partially true. I'm from Yorkshire in England, I can expand on your assessment. He's about as camp as is humanly possible, it's absolutely blatant. It obviously doesn't come across that way for players from the US because it seems like he's getting lot's of femalle attention. The party members are devoid of sexuality but if that wasn't the case, there's no way Astarion would be chasing the ladies.
I think it’s mostly his behaviour and diction more than his accent, although the heavy lean into that Yorkshire accent definitely adds to the snooty-ness lol I love it! You’re right it’s very camp, but it’s part of the charm for some characters and has to be done pretty well. I haven’t lived in the UK long enough to discern between different accents, but I can pick out some of the midland accents because my family is from there. I don’t live in the US (nor am I American) 😂 I just kind of sound like I do. About the underwear… if we’re camping out in the wilds for days/weeks together, chances are we’re going to see what’s under all that armour 😂 I was just giving a full immersive experience haha

That's understandable! He's such a nice guy, like really just a nice dude. I think it's because his hunger for magic and obsession with power I can see as a parallel to depression and addiction, so I feel that under his jolly exterior hides a man in pain. It intrigues me. Wyll, I'm not too invested in his backstory but I still want to know about all of them. Astarion thooooo, I like this bad boy so I'm saving him for my bad girl playthrough
@@heyamarii Oh I can totally see that (about Gale) and I'll be interested to see if/how your thoughts on that change as the story progresses (and I'm sure I'll warm up to him more when I have him in my party more as I know I've missed heaps of stuff with him lol. I don't know if I'll ever be into romancing though). And don't even get me started on Astarion, this guy has given me the worst case of icanfixhimitis i think i've ever had 😂He and Lae'zel are my favourite companions, their development has just been amazing. Gonna be hard to swap them out for other characters in the future 🥲 i'm simping way too hard :D
we can fix Astarion 🥹🥹🥹 he just needs love. He’s such a hunny and I’m with you there on I’m such a simp for him 😂
I picked Gale for this playthrough just because it aligns better with my character choices I think. But deep down, Astarion is my first love 😂
@@heyamarii you are a much stronger woman than I 😂 I could never. I will say though, if you do wanna go down the icanfixhim/redemption path you definitely don’t need to do a bad or evil aligned play through. (It’s actually extremely funny and endearing seeing him getting annoyed with you all the time for being nice and doing good while also being in love with you, he’s such a well-written character 😂). But if you’re gonna do that you definitely need to take to take the charlatan route and use deception and trickery whenever you can 😂 which I genuinely found so much fun and also often led to good outcomes? Lol. But either way, romancing him is amazing 🤩
Oooo so I don’t have to necessarily be totally evil, just deceptive and power hungry maybe?
Boring underwear for the most boring companion
Poor Wyll, I need to give him better undies. Maybe sexier undies will give him a saucier personality 😂
