Saw your comment on replacing Iris Swordsoul with Phantom Dragon (not sure if the 2 negated zones are permanent), but any other budget suggestions for the other URs (or which ones are mandatory)? I have both Melffy URs and Barrone, though I am planning to make at least Chengying and 1 Ghoti of the deep (maybe I could use an icejade gymir I pulled for the slot of the second fish?)
Phantom dragon locked zones is not permanent, whenever it leave the field, the zones will no longer locked. Icejade gymir is fine, pretty good card, i just feel comfortable to summon baronne, if i have hop ear + any level 8 on the field, but summoning ghoti of thr deep, is always priority (if able)
I genuinely thought the guy in the first duel negated his Dweller on purpose just to get more triggers through since Melffy doesn't rly activate shit in the GY lmao Ngl this deck is pretty fuckin based, kinda tempted to actually log on MD again just to build it

I tried the deck with Phantom Dragon (in solo mode) and realized it's drawback is worse than I realized! Hop Ear requires one free Main Monster Zone to be summoned and Synchro. Phantom Dragon effectively takes up three Main Monster Zones. This means you can only have *one* Main Monster Zone occupied. Basically, if you use it, just be very careful. But I wanted a budget option too and used The Abyss Dragon Swordsoul in some real duels with some success. It's only a SR and DD Crow and Arionpos easily trigger it, among the other cards that can banish.
@Stichting Aleezah I deliberately stay in Gold (and I'm not the deck's creator), so I'd take my suggestions with a grain of salt. I don't have three Veiler, Ash, Maxx "C", and Imperm and just one Rescue Cat. But that did give me room to add Called By, one more Pony, Droplet, and the Lava Golems mentioned in the pinned comment. The extra deck seems pretty non-negotiable on the URs though but maybe no Ruddy Rose and just one Ghoti Deep Beyond? And replace with another Askaan. Cupid Pitch could search for Hop Ear but that's just me looking at stuff. Otherwise I dunno about other budget options. I tend to not regret using Lost Wind when I'm trying to fill space though, haha.

The opponents in these replays made some questionable moves, but at 12:44 why did the Blackwing player enter the BP then go to MP2 to steal the Ruddy Rose? They had game! 😩
@Mac Neill Jhon Calamaan Ruddy Rose activated an effect which caused Full Armor to give it a Wedge Counter. Full Armor could've activated its effect to take control of a monster with a Wedge Counter in MP1 then the player would have a clear board to attack. But they took Ruddy in MP2.

Bro these duels have me questioning do players actually spend time learning their decks before attempting ranked? Literally could take time to spend in Solo mode and read their effects. Also that branded player had me so confused. You go into Verte with a Barron on the field with no way to stop the negate???

I feel this deck is able to bring out Ghoti's full power than usual Ghoti decks.

rudy rose has 3200 atk. full armor has only 3000. how can he/she win that battle phase

How is it Ghoti is getting that much atk? I thought it only got that boost from banished fish, not banished cards in general?
