I grew up in Dublin in the 60s, my mam and Dad watched the Riordans every sun night, it was the top programme on RTE, Great actors, Moira was the matriarch of Ireland, lovely lady, RIP never forgotten.

bless them all moira deady, annie dalton and all the rest, the one that played batty was the nicest one of the cast gone a long time rip unlike tom hickey ( benjy) would not say hi atall. he wud always speak to you, bless them all not like today, to the good old irish days that were when ireland was irish and not like it today all modern and everything else.bless.

ITV ran the last 26 episodes of this around 1980 or so - it ultimately ended up on Irish radio.
