As someone who speaks Tagalog, English, Cebuano and Pangasinan, I can tell Jake is doing such a great job in learning that skill. I wish you do this not only for the sake of content, but for having such a heart of being a Filipino.

As an Ilocano married to a Bulaquena for almost 30 years, I seldom use my native language. This guy is truly amazing! Mas mahusay pa sa genuine IIocano ha ha.
For someone raised in another country, it's such a difficult feat embracing another culture, dialect and customs. Even the mannerisms, and beliefs, Kuya Jake seems to be a Genuine Ilocano!

Ilocano is my father's native tongue but he rarely used it to speak to us when we were growing up. I can understand most of the Ilocano spoken in a room from hearing my dad's side of the family, but cannot speak aside from short sentences. I'm trying to learn so I could communicate in Ilocano and your videos are very helpful, thank you so much!
