you all get two builds today! YOU’RE WELCOME (jkjk we had a good time) we wanted to try our hand at making a cheap vs expensive apartment, so we went all out and tried to make a 10k simoleon apartment and a 100k simoleon apartment!

Being told that Blooming Rooms is gonna be free soon after buying it last month was truly the most heartbreaking end to March... EA is praying for my downfall 😭
Yeah, I'm a new player and decided that the only packs worth buying are the ones that have already been free or brand new packs (because you'll be paying for getting them for longer, technically), because there's no way to know which pack will be free next.
(Also, I haven't bought anything because i can't trust that EA will support the game once sims 5 comes out or other competitive games)

Another cool build idea is an entire greenHOUSE! Completely glass, filled to the brim with plants but still has bedrooms and a kitchen, etc. It's like bringing the outside in! An indoor bee box could also be so cute (but terrible for the bees) and the gorgeous glass canopy bed from Realm of Magic would be right at home😉

It may not be terrible for the bees depending on how far bees typically fly. There are honeys that are based off one specific plant, like clover or THC, so I assume those bees must be only in range of that plant to produce that honey. I haven’t done the research to confirm this though so I have no clue how it works.

The amount of times I have used that “table” as a bench in a hallway is ridiculous whereas I have never used it as a table

Pitch: “We built a house in the Sims 4 but every room has a randomly generated number of objects in it”
Have the random number generator set for something like from 7 to 70- the lowest number for a functional kitchen, to a number so high even the clutter queens may rage (that’s just a rough idea though so if 70 is too high or too low feel free to tweak, I have trouble envisioning exactly what your limits are)
Each swatch for the floor, wall, and ceiling counts as an item as well- so if you want to make your own checkerboard it counts as two items.

• Sandcastle build would DEFINITELY turn out so cute!
• Farm build is needed - with crops in the backyard!
• Small Mall would be a clutterers DREAM! - You guys could do like 4-8 different shops if there's enough clutter. Like a clothing store, a book store, an art shop, a plant shop!
• Similar to the boat dock build you could do a car show build!
• A movie set would be really fun too!!

Concept: every room is INSPIRED by a Sims 4 CAS Kit, you have to match the VIBE of each of the clothing kits. Which means you could go full goth, full victorian boudoir, full comfy cozy, full summer fun etc. depending on which one you get.

Haven’t watched the video yet but wanted to let you know that if you still have the candle fire problem, you can just dim the light with TOOL mod in the menu where you change the light color. It will completely get rid of the flame and you can resize to your hearts content. :)

LOVE This!! Downstairs apartment is giving me just coming to Hollywood in the 60s trying to make a name for herself and upstairs is a well-known Hollywood actress that’s on her way to retirement. Love love love this idea.❤
I absolutely ADORE this challenge and the upstairs place!! I would move there in a heartbeat. Bottom floor is the apartment I move into at the start of my art career, and the top apartment is when I bought the building after my breakthrough, and kept the bottom floor the same and use it as my guestroom/friend rental. 😂
I'd love to see you guys do fully occult apartments! Vampire, werewolf, aliens, mermaids, witch, plant sim, and such!
Speaking of that retro vibe. My time machine spat me out in the 60's/70's and then broke. Haha. I keep decorating my builds in a mid century style. Orange, shag carpet...that wooden panelling. Oh, and copious amounts of Bowling Stuff pack items. Along with those Mid Century items from Get Famous. The funky Mid-Mod vibes here were just what I needed to keep the vibes rolling.
I can't wait to watch this with my daughter!!❤ this is our bonding time !

Random Challenges (if you want):
1 - Pack Limit: Base Game, For Rent, Castle Estates, + 5 packs of your choice.
2 - Must use tall wall height on all floors / basements created.
3 - Must create at least 4 units.
4 - One of the units must be designed for a single father and his teen son and toddler daughter.
Ending on EXACTLY 10k & 100k means I can sleep peacefully tonight 😌

Hearing that the Garden Kit will be free for a while excites me! I bought it when it first came out, and I'm always using the random plants that came with it! 10/10 Everyone should nab it when it becomes available!
I'd love to see an episode where you trade off. Set a reasonable time limit then decide who goes first. Then, taking turns, you each get a chance to work on a shared build for the alloted time, going back and forth until the build is finished. Neither of you get to see what the other is doing while the other is building, only knowing the state of the build once the trade off happens and the time starts again. You can't scheme or plan or talk things through with the other, BUT you have to make it work as a build by the end.
Without being able to plan or talk things through, someone might have to work with design choices they wouldn't make. Or, you can prank each other by hiding difficult things in the build, making weird but workable choices, pushing each other to build outside of your comforts. I could see you both getting into antics, making it hard for each other, laughing at the end results when you can finally talk about certain choices.
Hope you consider the idea, but happy to support no matter what you guys put out n_n

I LOVE this build so much. This is the closest to my building style, heavy mid century inspiration but with lots of bright pastel colors and light woods.

@@milouiscool If I'm right about what items you're talking about then the pink/orange groovy rug is from Pastel Pop and the big circle window is from My Wedding Stories (it's hidden behind multiple stained glass swatches).

They are apartments. When they are looking at the budget they are only looking at the one apartment that they are doing. The game doesn't show their price together, it just shows the apartments price that you click on. Just like in city living etc
