It would be fantastic if you could get your Grammy to do a pickle tutorial or salsa tutorial! Or any canning or cooking! It would definetly grow your channel and we need the Grammys of the world to pass down their knowledge! So very many people have taken to canning this year that most canning supplies are in very short supply around the country!
Veggie Boys.... Your channel is heading to 10K. I have been playing your videos by selecting "PLAY ALL" and letting your videos run EVERY DAY. Great Channel!
Hi from Mississippi and sorry about the diseases in the southern winds. I am really enjoying your channel veggie boys. Y’all’s veggies have me reminiscing about my days of canning. 😊 God bless
I just want to say, I love these videos and watching the summertime ones now make the winter seem a little warmer. I love to garden and can’t wait for spring! Only 8 more weeks till I can plant my snow peas!
When I see this many tomatoes, it reminds me of an old song from the Caribbean and West Indies. The second verse, and every other verse of the song was; "Papa didn't raise no cotton or corn, very few potatoes, string beans or lima beans, but Lord he's got tomatoes".
Amazing colour on the corn silk. You're definitely in the best job. Defo need more like you. Can't beat fresh veg! My tomatoes are starting to ripen 😁 brilliant video love the channel 💪🏻
Hi Veggie Boys! Another great video! Andrew, one word of advice for a young man. You are so fortunate to have Grammy making her recipes for you and if she is willing to share them with you and your wife you are truly blessed! Unfortunately life happens and you don't want to lose those wonderful family recipes! Hey Joel, I'm a hybrid lefty. I eat and write left handed and throw, bat and golf right handed. Go figure! Stay healthy and thanks for the tips at the end!
Grammy has shared her recipes with all of her children and grandchildren. My brothers and myself love to cook and bake and our wives also love to do that. Thank you for being kind to me and my family
Love this channel. You guys are awesome. Thank you for bringing this to the world. My faves are your dad and Joel. Just a thought though, any chance of your grandma or wifey showing some awesome recipes they like to cook. Since you make us all hungry with their cooking.
Lefty family representing from KS. My daughter is a lefty, her uncle is a lefty, both gpas lefties, another gpa ambidextrous, mom is ambidextrous, great gpa on both sides lefties.
Am a lefty, meant to be creative. Tomatoes look amazing. Is granny able to give a one off cooking class on pickling pickles and making tomatoe sauce please. Thank you for the tips on water melons and cantaloupe (known as rock melon here in Aussie land as well). Once again, great video Andrew. I’m exhausted watching you all work so hard in the fields. Take care all xx
Your store is 118 miles from me. I think I’m going to take the 2 hour drive (each way) for some of your fresh grown veggies and granny’s fresh baked goods!
You know, I'm from a area that doesn't have to many vegetable farms out here, I would be amazed to be able to spend a lil time working a farm and seeing how things are done on a Farm! Maybe that's something you all can start, I for one would spend money to travel to a farm where I can see and do what ordinary Americans do for a living! I'm from Las Cruces, NM! Every state has different agriculture that other states don't have, your family has and seems like it would be a great place to visit and learn! Perhaps a maybe in the near future! 😀
Bohemian Rhapsody you were looking at the wrong tendril then. I’m a melon farmer in NC and every melon down south here from NC to Florida gets picked solely that way and 999 out of a 1000 are picture perfect melons!!!
Hey Andrew, so happy to see your channel taking off. I have a question though. With all the waste and scrap that comes from growing veggies, why not pigs for pork?
We used to raise pigs, however the amount of flies they bring around is not good for hygiene. We are considering raising pigs again. We just need a better area to raise them, maybe not so close to the farm market.
Most warehouses want to get them green off the truck ,and controle the ripening themselves. It gives them controle of how long they can keep them in the warehouse.
I would like to try growing some of those plum crimson tomatoes. Could you tell me where you get the seed? Love your videos and your dads input on fertilization and preparation of the fields. Thanks, Steve
Great Tips! I grew cantaloupes one year in my mini garden and pampered them all summer. I didn't take the time to research how to know when to pick them. My husband wanted to go pick one/eat and I would not let him. Well, we ended up with NONE. The animals decided they were ripe and ate them.
Hey Joel I'm a lefty veggie farmer from P.E.I a small Island in atlantic Canada. WE grow a mixture of crops but pumpkins are our main one. I was wondering how your pumpkin crop is looking maybe you could give us a look on your next video, mine are 90% ripe already. Love your videos thanks
Love your content. Hi from Mid Michigan! Keep up the good work, love the information you share and look forward to seeing how you grow your channel... See what I did there...lol. Oh and my wife who watches your videos with me is a lefty...
hey Andrew .... I used to "thump" melons when loading onto a truck... i would be carrying them melons over to truck on my '"LEFT" (lol) shoulder near my ear and would be thumping melon with my left thumb listening for ripeness.... (some 30 yrs ago. . state farmers market, columbia s. c.)
Do a livestream with a family when you hit 10K. Also set it up so there can be super chat donations. Many of us would love it because then we can ask you questions.
That would be awesome! Live stream would be fun! Will have to send more subscribers your way! 10th Generation Dairyman mentioned you guys on their channel, that's how we found you, so happy we did, you guys are so much fun 😁
The yellow spot on a watermelon is because it sat on the field. Has nothing to do with ripeness as you said. Knock on it. If hollow, then good. Also look for the "tail". If too yellow it either means that it is too ripe or it was picked a long time ago
Binge watching to catch up!!!! We love how everyone is happy and jokes around!! I have a ton of questions, but will ask only 1 after you pick the ears of corn, does the stalk grow more? Thanks guys!! Have fun and stay safe!!!
Thank you for watching! Sweet corn is known for growing 2 and on rare occasions is able to have a 3rd ear produce before the plant is too old. Sweet corn is very short season.
Mary Mary's Market it is to cross pollinate it and make new seed corn varieties. The rows of corn that the remove the tassels from will catch the pollen from the rows of corn next to it that still has tassels but is a different variety of corn. That pollen then pollinates the corn ears with no tassels and gives the seed company a different breed of corn than what either the mother or father plant were. The corn with no tassels will be cut separate from the corn with tassels so they can track it and follow it to see if the need to do it again or did it do what they wanted it to do. It’s just how we come up with all of our different types of corn is all
After you get done picking tomatoes 🍅, take a really ripe tomato and squish it in your hands. Gets them clean from the acid in the tomato. Old farmer trick 🍅🍅👍
A great video as always. Thanks for the tips. I grew cantaloupe for first time this year. They were beautiful but something ate the whole thing and left just the outside.
Squirrels like to do that, as well as groundhogs. Deer will smash both watermelons and cantaloupe then eat a couple bites and move on so it’s probly the first two or could also be chipmunks 🐿 or rats also
Old Nanz the only way I’ve found to solve the problem because you will not get rid of wildlife, ever, is to plant extra. I usually plant an additional 10-25% depending upon the crop, so that we may coexist!!! Good luck to ya.
The fact that you have large repeat orders tells us how good your product is
Fellow farmer here, work all day doing the exact same things, just to go home and watch videos of what I do all day from you guys! Love the videos!
Start a youtube channel so we can watch you too.

Not a lefty but I appreciate you and the effort it takes to live in a right handed world. 😂
Lol I’m righty as well.

These videos are relaxing and almost therapeutic for those who enjoy working with nature.
Love seeing the wagon full of veggies. Beautiful.
It makes us very happy as well!
Joel.... my son and I are both left handed.... whoop whoop !!!!!!!
Plum tomatoes look delish. Thanks for the info on the ripe melons. Have a great evening to all of you.

It’s here! And we are excited!
My favorite corn is the by color. I'm a lefty from Ohio. If I lived closer every year I would order a half bushel of green tomatoes to fry. YUM!!!
Love this channel. You guys are awesome. Thank you for bringing this to the world. My faves are your dad and Joel. Just a thought though, any chance of your grandma or wifey showing some awesome recipes they like to cook. Since you make us all hungry with their cooking.
Don’t skip the adverts guys, give this lovely family the revenue they deserve. Lefty here from England 🏴
Be sure and film chaffing the corn. Always entertaining!
Muito produtiva sua fazenda. No Brasil existem muitas áreas rurais, mas algumas totalmente improdutivas.Parabéns👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Love your cheerful nature.
Hey, Joel , my daughter is a lefty.
In Georgia determinate varieties have been finished for about 3 weeks.
Am a lefty, meant to be creative. Tomatoes look amazing. Is granny able to give a one off cooking class on pickling pickles and making tomatoe sauce please. Both my daughters and I love to watch you and your family. My oldest is a lefty, we're from Wichita, KS.
Your store is 118 miles from me. I think I’m going to take the 2 hour drive (each way) for some of your fresh grown veggies and granny’s fresh baked goods!
There's a lot of good Amish stuff not far from them too. So I'm sure you'll find some other stops as well 😉

Maybe one day.
I love the left handed brother. He's so handsome. Lol Joel
Thanks for the melon tips, really appreciate it.
You are welcome
Interesting tips ... remember to stay safe and stay blessed
I was told when the tendril closest to the watermelon is dried up all the way back to the vine then it’s ready to pick.
I tried that method..... and ended up with a really underripe melon!
Bohemian Rhapsody you were looking at the wrong tendril then. I’m a melon farmer in NC and every melon down south here from NC to Florida gets picked solely that way and 999 out of a 1000 are picture perfect melons!!!
Nice work! Keep it up greating from Romania !
Been left handed all my life!!! Keep makin the awesome videos guys!!!

Beatifull water melone 👍👍👍🤗
Thanks for the helpful hints on watermelons and cantaloupes.
Most warehouses want to get them green off the truck ,and controle the ripening themselves. It gives them controle of how long they can keep them in the warehouse.

Thanks Veggie Guy's.🌽🌽🌽
Lots of sweet tomatoes. Here on the High Plains of Texas our cool nights makes growing full season varieties a challenge!
I could imagine, that sounds very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks again for the great information on veggies.

Sounds good, I’ll have to try it!
👍 looks outstanding!
I'm left handed and living in Valdosta Georgia about 17 miles from the Florida line
Lefty here Lancaster,Ohio and theres another one in Hebron, Ohio ( Grandson)
A great video as always. Thanks for the tips. I grew cantaloupe for first time this year. They were beautiful but something ate the whole thing and left just the outside.
Awww that is hard, we understand what that’s like. Keep working hard!
Squirrels like to do that, as well as groundhogs. Deer will smash both watermelons and cantaloupe then eat a couple bites and move on so it’s probly the first two or could also be chipmunks 🐿 or rats also
Don Pfeiffer thanks I was afraid of that. Keeping chipmunks out or a voles will be difficult.

Lefty here! My family says my garden is backwards, lol!
Is there a difference in nutrition when tomatoes are picked green then shipped to the market as opposed to ones that get red on the vine?
There's definitely a taste difference 😉
