The world on the line where god is testing your resolve, finding and obtaining all the power you’ve painstakingly collected over the course of your adventure, not knowing that in the end, you’ve been facing your own parents the entire time.
I remember it clearly, was 10 years old and at my aunt's house during a family gathering, that was the day I finally felled this thing after like a week straight of trying, almost smashed my Gameboy because of how much I freaked out haha, it's become sort of a core memory of mine now. Good times. ♥
I’m late to this remaster, but holy moly, it gives me the same chills the original does. While knowing what this boss really is, the time I took to beat this thing while my nerves were getting to me. 30 minutes and some change in seconds. I was probably underleveled for it but my team leftover after the battle was literally the Vale kids.
What i love of the battle, is that the Wise One truly did a dirty and underhanded trick, if the party finds out the reality about the doom dragon quick, they would stop but that could mark the doom of the world, if they beat it, at what cost, jenna and isaac set out to find out about the stars and their parents as they saw felix alive, but would invalidate them and give them an inmense guilt since they would had to killd their own parents, the music expresses the direness so well that is astounding this was a GBA game
The only piece of personal preference based criticism I have for this remaster is that it just doesn't have the same kick the original version has. Other than that, it's great!
Felix's Sol Blade lets out a howl!
Doom Dragon uses Djinn Storm!
Doom Dragon uses Crual Ruinn!
Felix Party has fainted!
unleashes MEGGIDO. Felix does 1053 Dmg on Doom Dragon. Doom Dragon Fell.........head 2 appeared and Cruiel ruins...fuck
my eyes teared up reading this...
*MEGGIDO!*
What if you wanted to go to heaven, but God said
Cruel Ruin
Djinn Storm really makes you wish you trained the secondary party...
Just beat these games for the first time on Nintendo Switch. Absolutely epic final boss fight and super good soundtrack.
Ah yes...the theme of "Djinn Storm + Cruel Ruin"
haha...
that was painful
@@barbieeffect3956 but it was also, fucking sick
This is what happens when you let a prog rocker compose videogame soundtracks
The moment you slay it. Think about that moment. You will not have a bad day
Doom Dragon was an unironic 45 min fight lol

CRUEL RUIN, DIJJIN STORM!
still have nightmares
zlkimagenX gahhhh don't remind me 😖
The best order is actually the inverse one.
I dont know if it actually uses that in that way.
@@franbh94 He does.. Ivan knows all too well
Garret: "We've already beaten a two-headed dragon, so what is a three-headed dragon?"

I remember doing this boss in a hotel room in Spain during a family trip. Like you said; core memory for sure
Me, finally surviving Cruel Ruin: YAAAAY
Doom Dragon: CRUEL RUIN!!!!!
Me:... I hate you so much

This fight is just the best Rpg fight I ever experienced. The 2 games engines and systems really were pushed to their limits..
So only Isaac and Garet?
Perfect!! This remaster bleeds the same pulse pounding finale. One of the most riveting moments in gaming. When you face a gift from the Gods

Wait i just realized this says a lot about Kraden..because he knew the dragon consisted of someone close to the party..
kraden managed to deduce correctly the dragon, but it was already too late to do much about it
Issac's Excalibur let's out a howl!! Legend!!!
He forced you to fight your PARENTS
Hahahaha
Yeah in a cruel twist of ruinous fate.
@@Blues2Dark I see what you did there.
I prefer this over the remix in Sm4sh on Wii U.
Same for one reason, the part at 0:37 in the smash version without the drums feel so awkward
Cruel Ruinstorm :D
Esta música es tan genial que quiero que mi juego suene igual de bien
The only piece of personal preference based criticism I have for this remaster is that it just doesn't have the same kick the original version has. Other than that, it's great!
@Mr Kitrid It's the literal kick in the song, it sounds softer, like a more rounded sound than a hard hitting sound. It's just a personal preference.
@Mr Kitrid I have no idea what you're talking about xd
@Mr Kitrid Probably.
I guess you could argue that the compression on the GBA adds a certain "grit" to the music, but it probably isn't what the composer intended or wanted
@@conoraq Fair point taken.
I never beat this boss
Go do it now 😎👍
Grind levels fighting the wonder bird enemy. Each gives over 8000 exp per bird. Beat Dullahan then doom dragon.
@@AlexD-mz4eg I'll try that on my alternate channel sometime once I play it
Do it NOW!
Man I wish this version was in smash….the new rendition is too much and everything gets lost in one mixed up sound.
