I get what you mean about being excited 😂! I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was seven and had two major curves in my spine. When I was eleven I was finally able to get the surgery ( my largest curve reached 57° so I needed it ). I had been researching the surgery since I was 9 years old and even watched a surgical video of it lmao. It was a very dangerous surgery. I went on the operating table with 20 doctors and nurses around me and saw the scalpels and started smiling- they thought I was insane haha. Two titanium rods, 20 screws in my back and a 12 inch scar later. Woke up and stayed in the hospital a week, had to learn how to walk and do stairs and everything again. I had been waiting so long for the surgery I didn’t even feel any pain ( I had a morphine button pump too ). Hardest part was the car ride home and for a year after I couldn’t sit for a long time of my ribs would be SO sore. Then again they did completely twist my rib cages. I was so happy I finally had that done. Now my back is perfectly straight and you would never know it happened. Hell I forget it happened too unless I am reminded or talk about it- forget I have a faint scar along my back too until I am reminded. Edited; also congrats!!
