I do not deny that as it happens, it _is_ an act that takes a little courage. But it really, really *shouldn't* , should it? Do you see how that is the sign of a party completely consumed from the ground up with authoritarianism? So, let's pat this guy on the back but not act like he's a saint or Joan of Arc....the people who have been trying to warn you *ALL ALONG* all this time going back 20 years had a lot more courage, and you probably sneered at them and called them 'traitors'. Or know folks that did. Which should bear reflection.

I feel the same. In the grand scheme, he is relatively benign, but he still perpetuates a lot of the mythology about the old Republican Party, which-let’s face it-would not have led to Trump if it had been that good a thing. And the “Saint Ronnie” crap makes my eyes roll back so far that you can only see the whites for a moment. As I’ve already pointed out in other comments (some versions of which got taken down, for reasons I don’t understand), that “witty quote” that he attributed to Reagan was actually a distortion of something Walter Mondale uttered ABOUT Reagan and TO Reagan when they had their first debate in 1984 (in which Reagan gave a performance that was universally acknowledged as lackluster and after which Reagan made remarks about how Mondale only seemed younger and more energetic because of the amount of make-up he wore-classy).

I’m lucky enough to understand legalese and realized all the bad, scary stuff I’d been told was a lie. I asked my self-proclaimed Christian niece why she’d “bear false witness” and she was unapologetic. I don’t understand the thought process!

Don't call the few that did their jobs in stepping forward "heroes". Call out 99.999999% of them who still are either actively or complacently following behind Trump's march to destroy democracy. I’m independent, voting for Harris/Walz. I agree that all that Kamala WANTS to do might not be possible, but, they’re points for discussion and compromise. Let’s get her in and then work, across party lines, to get our beloved country moving in the right direction.

Voting conservative when you’re concerned about the economy is absolute lunacy with the record of conservative governments over the last 50 years.
The first time home buyers assistance won’t inflate housing prices unless every single person shopping in the market is a first time homebuyer. There’s also a housing shortage which does far more to drive the market price. I love people who play economist.
I’m glad he’s on the right side of the election and the bigger issue of climate change though.😊
