I'd like to go out for a run with Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl but there's no way I could keep up with their pace.
Shame Debra Winger turned down the Wonder Girl spinoff idea. It might have been great.
I agree to the power of INFINITY ♾️!
She would have run the risk of being typecasted , and probably would not have achieved the level success that she enjoyed In Hollywood had she done the spinoff.
My only question is, why didn't they just choose another actress ? 🤔

Since they rebooted Wonder Woman to modern times, I would say that Debra dogged a bullet! ABC canceled WW and CBS ruined it!

Back in the day (70's)DC comics held a poll with their readers of the Justice League. Superman 🦸 was on the big screen and I Wonder Woman 🇺🇸 on tv and Batman 🦇 was in reruns during the summer. After nearly 3months of casting a JLA movie, the votes were enormous. Chris Reeves kept his spot as Superman.

I totally forgot the actors who would protray Hawkman, 🦅Hawk girl, Atom, Martian Manhunter, Elongated man and such, but DC was always getting sold and bought by some "power company" with no heart for the readers but try to turn over big bucks/profit . I just wanted to share a little something as to what it was like to daydream of aJLA movie in the late 70's. It would have been fantastic.

Salem Wati ckout a tv sitcom with Adam West,Burt Ward and Frank Gorshin called Legends of the Superheroes (1978) this was supposed to be the answer to a JLA movie, 13 costume heroes and villians . The rules were strict in those days, Warner Bros. wouldn't allow two actors to play the same character , plus the Salking's were leasing the rights to Superman and Wonder Woman etc etc. Shazam (who was still called Capt Marvel) and Huntress replaced Supes&WW.

Debra Winger really did well in this role, but I'm guessing a spin-off might not have done well. Having said that, I would've liked to at least seen more appearances from Drusilla. I'd say she made the right call when she stepped away.
Dynamic duo these 2 wish they had featured more of drucilla in all the seasons perfectly cast and look great in those costumes. Great TV show from 70s.

Even if Wonder Girl did get to visit America in the mid-1970's after Wonder Woman returned there following her returning Steve Trevor's lookalike son there, how would she have felt if she had seen Jim there, over 30 years older and happily married? The show should've revealed who had Steve Trevor Sr.'s lookalike son and what happened to her if it was a woman Wonder Woman knew.
Those two running side by side was poetry in motion! If Deb Winger woulda did that solo spin off,she probably would have became as famous as Lynda Carter.but this was so fun to watch.

Debra's Wondergirl costume was much less decorated than Lynda's Wonder Woman one. The only decoration on the main costume is a short run of stars down one side of her chest.
Debra noticed. She hated the plain costume. Obviously not much effort into making it.
@@stuartlondon6439 It would have been nice if they would have designed a sexier more elaborate costume for Wondergirl although I am not sure though that Debra had the right build to look good in something sexier cut.
@@glennszydlowski5987 I still think Debra looked great in her outfit. The one area where I do think her outfit is superior to Lynda's would be the short shorts. So many great shots of her backside. They definitely weren't as puffy as the bottoms on Lynda's costume.

If there were an episode of Wonder Woman in which Wonder Girl pays a visit to her sister in America in the 1970's to see how, in her alter-ego of Diana Prince again, is doing working as a government agent, would Wonder Girl ask Steve Trevor, Jr., who his mother is or was after seeing that he looks just like his father?
Nope. No Wonder girl or Amazons were mentioned after the first season of the 70's.

Wonder girl was more gangsta than WW. When you were in her way she would just clock you instead of throwing you over something.
Wonder Girl needed to work on her spin. However, it was cute to see her Wonder Woman working together.
I actually think it was intentional, they made her seem kind of clumsy and young and immature in her skills including her spin lol.

Whoa, I remember this episode as a kid during the 80s after school. Local stations had the first season on heavy rotation and the rest in the summer. But man oh man, this episode was always my favorite. It's why I bought the whole series on blu-ray. Just for the first season. Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl together really were the best episode. But Wonder Woman in Hollywood was the best episode in the whole series. It had it all, Hollywood magic, great story and full on action the last 12 minutes. Seeing them both run together in sync was burned into my memory. I'm not the only one. Fans of the show and GenX remember it too. It was famous for a reason. Both were beautiful and the show 70s fun camp.

The actress Debra Winger was very unhappy with aspects of the show including her costume.

@@bobcummings8228 This was Debra's first TV show, so she may have not been prepared for a TV series environment. I know she was unhappy about her salary, as well.

Those first season episodes were the most fun set in WW II but for the 2nd season they updated it to modern time and they turned it into a disco style comic book show they ruined it but it was cheaper to do compared to the 1940s.
