Not trying to be biased or drag any1 down. But for ppl who thinks Faker's performance in Final was mid or boring - He clearly didn't put all out like what he did in Semi Final against JDG. Let's be real, WB doesn't stand a chance with T1. So imo, i believe he stepped down a bit, played as a support for other members of his team to shine - rather than play aggressively ( until game 3 ). He doesn't have to make crazy plays against underdog team to prove any further. Don't get me wrong that he pitying his teammates - He just chose to be a supporter for his team more, let his teammates shine and has their glory moments
even then, FAKER didn't fail to impress us with his akali on the final game, still showing everyone that he is the definition of Legend in league of legends. But for real this T1 roster is for me the best I've ever seen. Everyone played on Faker's level as if they are one mind synchronizing perfectly with each other, even the drafts were so undeniably great, making sure Zeus has the every counter even having his Aatrox banned or picked by enemy team. This a perfect comeback if disregard the fact that the semis is better than the finals, WBG even with TheShy doesn't hold a candle against T1.
I mean unlike with JDG, he was clearly being target ban in finals, which allow his team to just get their prio picks, beside, not much he could really do when Zeus and Oner already broke the games wide open
To be real it's not just Faker, Everyone of them played on Faker's level, and are undeniably God's on their on ways. This T1 comeback is well deserved. The best T1 I've seen.
Idk if it's the best T1 team. (Technically Skt) Season 5's team had nearly a perfect run in worlds and showed so much domination. Sadly Marin left immediately after

Totally destroyed all the LPL team 👏👏👏 Faker is the iron wall of T1.. LPL team can't even break it the guard of Shurima😂😂😂 my 10 years of watching faker's game is undeniably he is the GOAT👏👏👏
Some people still doubting him even after his 4th trophy but hater's gonna hate, only people who have seen his magic since 2013 understand why he's so great. What they see today that consider "newbie must know when play LOL", 70% of it comes from Faker. I won't have to waste my time explaining to all of haters anymore, he is the GOAT confirmed by many casters, proplayers, jounalists, Riot themselves and no one can change it. You can have your own GOAT, but don't try to drag Faker down by trying to compare him to your GOAT. Thank you and good bye haters.

To keep playing for 10 years and still be a contender year after year is just something else
The fact that Faker has won 4 World's Championships now, just speaks VOLUMES to how good of a player he was, is, and likely always will be, when compared to literally any other player in League history.
Undeniably the BEST this game has ever seen! As doubtful as he was seen in his recent years, seen as a goner as he aged, seen as a fading and waning once a hero rises again, again with style! t1 can't replace anyone in this team especially Zeus. Guma can't play without keria. oner understands how and when to rotate it's a good roster additionally next season kkoma is the new coach
Zeus did not have aatrox on his arsenal last year. And he does not play gwen that much. I think thats what made him deadly this year. Adding those 2 champs on his lineup made me remember faker on his early days.
At the age of 28, most player would have retired to streaming or coaching. But Faker still standing, still got what it's take to become World Champion for the 4th time. All hail the Demon King !

Same, the more I watch, the more I feel MVP is Oner instead of Zeus. Jungle role is so crucial in helping the others win their lane. Oner kept disrupting enemy jungle farm, also stole a lot of dragons, and time many crucial ganks, even opening fights, synchronize really well with Faker's opening+follow up. Oner definitely did a lot more plays compared to Zeus. Sure Zeus did hold his own really well, but I feel MVP should be something that affected the entire game.

Initially, I felt Zeus deserves the MVP, but the more you watch, the more Oner shines. Oner is the real MVP. Many gank fights are won due to his opening and follow-up. 1 great example would be at 22:43. If Oner wasn't there, Faker is so dead for trying to divert attention from Guma to himself. Not to mention his enemy jungle disruption, rift timing, dragon timing, securing dragon all the time, stealing dragons too. 7:54 = That Vi ult bait is sick, pretty much a free kill 9:54 = Oner used Rell's ult to lock down J4, and with the help of Faker's Orianna ult, knocking J4 up so he can't smite, enabling Oner to steal dragon 17:28 = From being at disadvantage, Oner reversed the tide, also stealing dragon Oner and Faker opening & follow-up ganks are huge game changer for their team fights, if either didn't follow up after the opening, the fight would have gone sour. Timing is king. Faker did do a few plays, but he missed a few easy kills, it's sad how our reactions slow down due to age, but because of that he can't get MVP when others perform flawlessly. Zeus held his own really well, but it was Oner enabling all the plays, making everyone else winning their lanes that open up a lot of space for Zeus to focus in his lane. Zeus win top, but Oner wins the map. So, Oner may not have won MVP 2023, but to me, he is the real MVP. (Yeah, Faker leadership is definitely at play, but we can only judge gameplays on screen, we will leave team efforts and bonding to themselves behind the scenes)
Faker's skillshot accuracy on Ahri and Sylas could've been better but he played everything else to perfection, and in recent years he has had the tendency of getting caught out on side lanes but I actually think that only happened in the Gen G series, I can't think of any other instance in which he was caught out this worlds. Ultimately his skill shot accuracy didn't really mean much because he compensated with better macro and just being lane-dominant... his level of consistency was really high this year.
