G'day to you all from Australia. How universal would our Catholic worship be if all Catholics could pray in a common language. Praying in Latin does this. I pray we may return to Tradition Latin Mass. The Mass if the ages and of the saints. What a dream. Imagine all the people praying together in Latin?
If possible, there might be the FSSPX, the Most Holy Trinity seminary priest from Reading, Pennsylvania, USA, , the Sons of the Holy Redeemer [F.S.s.R.] from Papa Stronsay Island, Hebrudes, Scotland, U.K. God bless you all.
Jodi: do you say a little prayer by their bedside? They will get used to you praying beside them. I used to make a sign of the Cross on their forehead, and pray 'May Jesus bless you and give you holy dreams.'
You have the authority to bless them like priests bless us. Your husband has the authority to bless you and your children. I think I learned that from Fr. Ripperger . You are protecting them with your blessing.
Prayer is the key 🔑 to salvation. Prayer and penances and perseverance until the end. I'm a stay at home Catholic because of the invalid ordination post Vatican 2. Sancta Maria ora pro nobis.
God richly bless your journey sooooo much. Onward to making converts for our Creator and strengthen those who know Him but are on slightly off His paths. Prayers.
Thank you so much for bringing this wonderful talk from Fr. Anthony. I’m listening to it precisely on Ash Wednesday, and I think it’s gonna help me out lots during this Lenten season. Peace be with you! ✝️❤️🔥
I’ve tried for 2 years to learn this priests name. I’ve became obsessed with his talks and I’ve prayed to learn his name. Now from your comment I have finally found out. So thank you so much!
@@philomenacoutinho6248 You have a beautiful saint's name: I hope you honor her with sincere devotion. Sts. John Vianney (wrote her Litany) +Padre Pio had deep devotion to Saint Philomena-she was also known as the Wonder Worker of the nineteenth century because of the many documented miracles. Jesus and Mary bless and protect you always.
Fantastic talk, absolutely loved it and your ability to teach us valuable lessons through your own human experience. Honesty is always the best policy. You made your examples very relatable and added a little humour. I am going to listen again, this talk is of great value. Thankyou so much Fr Anthony, for sharing your pearls of wisdom.🙏💕💖
As Ash Wednesday begins today I’m so glad that this popped up on my feed because I desperately needed some guidance and structure to penance. May God bless you!
Many blessings and thanks for this talk I pray we all choose to grow spiritually this lentern period 2023. May our efforts prove fruitful in uniting closer to our Lord by accepting our sufferings and do penance.
Videos such as this makes the use of technology worthy. My favourite movie about St.Bernadette and the messages from our Lady of Lourdes whom called on us when she called out "Penance,Penance, Penance!!" Been reflecting what exactly does this entail am I really performing acts of penance and what is penance? Straight up this talk speaks clearly about the importance of penance to grow closer to God not justvto appease God. Unite ourselves to the standing Christ and to swell within us the longing disposition to atone for all the sins as a victim as Christ Jesus did. Be part of saving the world by being Christ crucified. Accept our suffering as a victim just as Jesus did. Praying for all to make of 2023 the beat self sacrificing lantern practises this lent. God Bless and Mother Mary pray for us to unite woth her son in his acceptance as a victim to appease his Father of our many sins.
I am a devout Catholic and Geriatric NP. When Friar Anthony discussed about death I recalled being around death since age 18 when I began working as a home health aide for 7 yrs in Hospice. Later as a RN I couldn't count how many people I had to prepare for the mourge with a death kit. I have always been around death and dying and believe it is very important to remember everyday - it could be your last. We never think it is going to come, but it always does. We must be in grace, as Frair teaches. God Bless to all.....
Thank you Fr ,your sermon spoke to me ,it's given me something purposeful with structure ,having something to work with really helps me to stay focused and true to my purpose. If you have faith and are a practising Catholic your sometimes viewed as an oddity either that or your largely ignored so it's difficult to progress without some form of support .I hope you will be giving more talks.on prayer ,contemplative and otherwise .I talk to God Jesus Our Lady and my guardian angel as I go through the day and to be quite honest I don't know what I would do without them ,my trust is in them totally .🙏
I agree with the temptations on the phone/computers. However, I found this talk because it popped up on RUclips and I'm listening to this on that stupid phone! 😂
Wonderful and powerful. Something comes to mind, maybe God speaking. The prodigal son!...he reduced to a pig! In the filth ..in his sin and eating the fruit of his sin. Yet having intellect not being a beast wills his good and awakes and removes himself from the filth...sin and turns back to his Father, back to God, hope, and joy. Healed by the embrace of God the father
14:04 I can't find this word on google. How do you spell it? The captioning spells it " cinder see" but I've tried it as one word and two words, but I get nothing. I've never heard this before.
synderesis noun A technical term of the scholastic philosophy, signifying the innate principle in the moral consciousness of every man, which directs him to good and restrains him from evil. The supposed inateability of the human mind to realise the basic principles of ethics and morals
💖💖!! Does anyone know where I can get a book that has the Tenebre English or Spanish translation? I've looked online for a pdf or page that I can print, but I can't find anything 😕. Thanks!!!
I think God just moves us in time and his time is perfect. I am shocked how little by little God is showing me..but I'm not getting it quickly. It's very very slow. If at all. But I'm trying.
I think you need to elaborate on the part about planning. Planning is not opposed to Divine Providence. Clearly not all planning is bad, such as the planning you did for this talk. The trick is to make plans but to not be too attached to our plans when God decides to change them.
The Creation is God's Will, not just the Bible nor the Church. Men are made frugivorous gardening monkeys. They depend on mutual mercy to achieve any goal, therefore, their first priority is to preach compassion to our brothers, so that they don't become the many cruel obstacles in the way to our objectives. God wanted us first in the animal flesh. It is His most high desire at this given moment. The Eucharist is a frugivorous meal. It was proclaimed to be the meal of the redemption of cruelty by Jesus. We are frugivorous gardening monkeys and it is the core subject of the Bible. No point in asking for people not to sin when at every meal we prove it to be unthinkable to not be cruel. Life in the flesh is a divine wonder. We need to bow down to it.
Advertisements are like promptings of the soul. God prompts us to good actions and the world/flesh/devil to evil temptations. Like advertisements, these promptings are uniquely suited to us. The more we 'click' on one the more things like it we get. This can be for good and/or evil! Let us be diligent in short holy ejaculatory prayers throughout the day and conversation with God, our guardian angels and saints and we will get more good 'advertisements' and less bad in our spiritual life! Also, it is not sinful to see a bad advertisement unless we relish it in our heart or 'click' on it. Don't 'click' on bad promptings but 'click' on good spiritual promptings!
Fra Anthony is correct. The more I attempt contemplative prayer, the more unholy I believe I am. Not unworthy, but unholy. I don’t believe holiness is something you’ll ever know you’ve reached. The sins of my past are countless, and every one of them is spitting on Christ Jesus as he hangs from the cross. Every moment of in contemplating, I see myself from above and see all my flaws. BTW - Fra Anthony sounds like he has a Philly accent?
