Something I do not quite understand (and really, I just want to know)- so first, remove leaves so they won't cause spoilage under water; but then line the vase with that pretty big leaf. Won't that spoil and cause bacterial growths and be bad for the roses? What's the difference? 😕

Let me it but feel the bear grass sits up too high away from flowers. This arrangement needed some burgandy berries and also some small maroon or plum colored lilies.
