Also how did you get the catwalk stairs without turning into a "update" block?

I guess you have to change some world settings like "Holiday Creator Feautures".
If it don't makes fixed, probably addon downloading was failed. re-download and try again.

@@hexablare-union Thanks, although I always thought it was because of a new Mojang update problem since the railing used to be normal.
