The fact that the four of them are in a LAN Party together shows just exactly how close friends Bowser is with Mario and Luigi in this series that he would be willing to host a party, and how the trio trust him enough to bring over their gaming PCs. It's the little details.

Funny thing is, back at this time in 2018 we were complaining about the LACK of Mario 64 in the videos at the time, this here was considered underuse of Mario 64 and overuse of Gmod back then compared to 2016 and earlier. Crazy to see just how much further the series has shifted to the point where looking at this now, I now see this as pretty good usage of Mario 64 that's more in-line with the classic era than not, which is completely different from my and many others' opinions at the time this was made. The usage of Mario 64 has now decreased so much that I now see these 2018 episodes completely differently from how I did at the time in that regard, it's basically a shifting Overton Window effect.
