of course it does; all dogs deserve a good home. that's not my point at all. i'm not coming for the puppy, or Alex, or Sierra. they're great people. just saying that there are hundreds of puppies in shelters right now that are available in the LA area (i know because i foster cats) and they're way more likely to be put down because of overcrowding in shelters. shelters euthanize perfectly wonderful puppies every single day, did you know that? get educated before you come at someone on a subject you obviously know nothing about.

This was the sweetest vlog. Sorry to digress a bit here, but I didn't expect to start crying when you surprised Sierra but the happiness of that moment reminded me of when my mom surprised me with a beautiful puppy when I was 13 as I got home from school only for him to die 6 months later because he got parvo. Rest in peace little angel, I know he's playing in heaven with many friends.
I'm so sorry to hear that if you don't mind me asking when was this my old beagle pasted away 2 years ago and his name was Ollie we had to put him down because he had a tumor in his chest

Oh my! Im so sorry!! I used to foster dogs so we fostered 5 aussie lab mixes and one of them (Charlie) got parvo, me managed to raise money and he survived!!!!!

Why she was so calm is because she is a lap dog. Which means they love to just chill and relax and they're actually for comforting their owners. That's why King Charles spaniels are calm when holding them because they're lap dogs and just love to be held. So that's why they're always so calm when laying down and when holding them. They'll get exited and tired of sitting once in a while though.

Cup Studios I’m pretty sure they’re prone to neurological issues as their heads can be too small for their brains and also eye issues
@@cupstudios3788 Cavaliers are prone to quite a few health issues. You need to do a lot of research when looking for a breeder. They are prone to heart murmurs, neuro problems like mentioned if bred incorrectly, hip and knee problems especially luxating patella, bad teeth unless you care for them from a young age, and some eye problems.
Ours needed knee surgery before be he turned 1. He then developed it in his other knee. He has a heart murmur. Had to have all of his teeth out. He had the absolute greatest personality though, could not have asked for a better dog.

tbh that's a popular way of getting a dog out of state. It's perfectly humane but just gotta see what airline and the breeder, if that's what your concern is.
yea,my family is looking to adopt a puppy right now and she has been through a lot in the 11 weeks she’s been alive. She’s been to many houses and she was found in the woods.. it sucks but hopefully we can adopt her and take good care of her and give her a forever home❤️

Can everyone please stop commenting how they should have adopted and why they think buying is terrible! It’s their decision they wanted a purebred dog so let them live. Why can’t everyone just appreciate how cute Penny is, or how awesome it was for Alex to surprise Sierra like this, or how sweet her reaction was. Exactly! And especially for a first dog when you have to learn a lot it’s difficult to adopt a dog that maybe already has been trough so much, a little puppy is “easier” to take care of for a first dog and not an adopted one in my opinion.

I'm 65. Had dogs all my life. Our King Charles Katie, has been the absolute best of them all. 10yrs & counting & she still plays with her toys every day. Good luck to Penny & her family.

Lost ours in may, he turned 13 and was healty to the end, still very sad even tho he had a long and good life. Sadly they usually pass way too early

I had a cavalier as a child who was also from Missouri! We named her Tory. They are lovely dogs - sweet lap dogs who are playful and also like little cats. The only thing is that this kind of breed gets heart disease young. Most don't live longer than 11 years old. Take care of them and feed them healthy food, and they will live longer. Ours lived to be 13.5 and that was unheard of!
Definitely my King Charles recently died of heart disease. Vets recommend getting their hearts checked once a year
This is really important. Not to mention that most Cavaliers suffer from neurological disorders and may suffer badly for great parts of their lives. I hope Penny's from a responsible breeder and that subscribers on here won't just jump on the puppy train and get a Cavalier from a sketchy source because they saw Sierra has one.
My family had a Cavvie who lived to only 8 as he passed away only a few months ago from a heart murmur and also he struggled to breath. I agree that they are beautiful and friendly dogs, however i wouldn't ever get one again. They suffer from too many health issues and its too sad to watch your dog suffer in pain bc of the way they are bred to look. I think more people need to start adopting homeless, needy dogs instead of breeding more dogs just for money or a certain look.
I have 2 Cavaliers as in Northern Ireland people use them for breeding and puppy farms. and my mum knows the like owner of a business called "Cavaliers in need" so We adopt dogs or foster them and you should check it out

I have really wanted a dog all my life partly cuz I have always very hard time making friends and finding companionship. But I am also so busy and traveling all the time that I fear I won’t be able to give a dog enough attention. But I am working towards that.

There is a difference between supporting breeders and supporting puppy mills. I have two rescue pets and I 100% promote rescues....but they aren’t horrible people for getting a purebred dog. On that note...HER PUPPY EYES ARE SO CUTE!

I have three King Charles cavalier spaniels and they are best! They all are ruby and the most nicest dogs around new people. We have Maddie,Jack, and Oliver!! Both boys are actually brothers and Maddie we got a year before them. This breed of dog is fantastic ❤️ Enjoy penny!!

Patty Fitzsimmons I adopted her from a local shelter for $50. She was not in good condition at all when I got her, but I took her to the vet and now she’s a very healthy and happy puppy! I know they can be hard to find but I really recommend trying to adopt, you won’t regret it!

Edit: My dads border collie got pregnant with a maremma! I MIGHT BE ABLE TO KEEP ONE! I’ll update you when my dads dog gives birth.
