- For my day 5 update I made a lot of changes all at once, essentially holding onto gear swaps since day 2 because I didn't really want to go through the headache of respeccing tree/fixes res as I swapped things so I waited to do it all at once.

I'm so happy I didn't go slams. Your build sounds amazing in all other aspects but it's so slow... I'm playing cyclone shockwave and I'll do 2-3 tier 17 before you finish 1.
How is the build is the buff massive, doing strength stack?
record your gameplay of fullclearing a Sanctuary T17 with 168 monster life and 1000% crit in 50 seconds without a mageblood to boost your speed(because obviously that would be unfair comparison given mageblood is the only differentiating factor in speed I can see making you clear that fast and nothing is stopping me from putting on a mageblood except cost... not build defining difference at all) because I am 100% sure you are a liar ;)

Thanks for the shotgun test. I have a similar plan to swap to VFoS from Sunder everntually, so that is comforting to see.
I'm doing a ConcPath Chieftain and I'm liking a few things im seeing. I'll see if I can't fit a few of these ideas into my build in some way. Awesome job on the build as always Lance

@@YaboyWatts I'm running the base version right now but I'm liking it quite a bit. I'm pretty tanky but I do kill bosses kinda slow. It should be doable on a berserker but you're probably going to have to run brass dome to get your max resists up.
Anyone who wants to do this, you can start off with Kaom's Primacy where a perfect roll is under 5C and it's comparable to a 800 pdps axe
I bought a fractured base for 90c with t1 # to # phys and just essence slammed with zeal's 29-30% atk speed. took 14 essences and rolled 940 pdps

It's pretty affordable without simplex or the forbidden jewels. Like 130 div less
Lance always does unreasonable builds that 95 percent of people won't be able to complete. If you want to keep watching his build series, just don't go all the way into his builds, unless you can play a s*** ton.

Glad to see a fellow VFoS enjoyer! I built a LL 1h+shield version for map blasting - super tanky and zoomy, so satisfying as VFoS tends to be. But damage was a bit below where I wanted it. I lifted your idea of a light of meaning by the axe wheel to solve this. Since I am 100% fire convert I got to use the fire version which cost me nothing compared to the phys version - 50c vs 10d lol. Cheers
The light of meaning for fire adds less to the overall DPS of this build in PoB. Still a great pickup though.

What I love about this game, is if you make your own unique build, it can be way cheaper than similarly strong builds that are commonly used. So the trading system incentivizes more playing with character building.
about the prismatic flask its huge difference for example for zenith because all you need is 1 jewel with 2 mana per enemy hit and flask lasts like 15 seconds, tinctures are actually kinda broken idk why more ppl dont use it
i used volcanic fissure of snaking to level up my zenith guy, 10/10 would 100% recommend this skill, feels absolutely fcuking incredible, i might even come back to str stack volcanic fissure, clearing feels so good
What’s a good weapon for that. I’m playing MS of zenith now and it’s too slow.

I went the leech route with immortal ambition, going to swap to this if the gems aren’t outrageous

I have been looking a little at Kaom's Primacy for doing damage, and I think it might can be a a good lower budget weapon if Echoes of Creation causes Savage Hits on yourself and then use Vengeful Cry. 80 rage * 1.5 = 120% extra fire damage, and during rage that'd be a little less than 80 * 2.09 = 167.2%.
Can not compete at all with that enchant though, the Mace gives at least 70% more dps with some fast PoBing, and that becomes around 40% when Rage is up
Edit: I guess the mace isn't even that expensive, so might go for this on SSF too at some point, pretty good, thanks for the info!

Hey I had a question about this build. You're using rallying cry, so how are you scaling its damage if you don't have herald of purity anymore?
Volcanic fissure of snaking has been an amazing leveling skill. I also have sunder to decimate the bosses quickly. Starting maps today - looking forward to blasting!
You might consider Blood and Sand if you wanted more tankiness with sand stance.

Hey CaptainLance, based on your testings, do you think that if it would chain more, would it hit more? Like would it be interesting to amp up the gems quality if it ends up hitting the target with all the chains, since if you exert it with the cry it doubles it dmg, it would maybe compensate for the gem slot? Just wandering if you have ever thought about it

Been running ragestorm of berzerking witht the new gloves to overcome the echos damage with 5 exerts plus side echos triggers the rage warcry as well

You just equip the gem. I played volcanic fissure since act 1 league start this league and last.
Play around with which weapon type you like the best, I use an axe because for me it feels more fluid to play. You have so much damage from the skill alone you dont really need the gg maul unless you are deep delving.
First league ina long time I haven’t started with a cpt Lance build but I’m getting some Fomo now lol
Why not take Iron Reflexes and wear armor/evasion bases? You're pathing past it anyway

Can this be done on a slayer? I see a lot of zerker slam builds and I wonder if I should just make a one instead of my slayer
Is there a reason you didn't take the fire mastery for 40% phys convert and used awakened fire pen instead of trinity? There's a pretty close by fire node by the 30 dex node north east of RT. I have to path to it for dex and some mas res. Is there a multiple elemental advantage? So far I am liking the auto targeting and I am pivoting away from ground slam. Not having to get gloves to convert can probably free up some points for me. Thanks!
Sorta found my own answer, by converting to 100% elemental, we lose leech. The leech nodes CptLance is currently taking is only for physical attack damage. He is currently only converting 95% phys to elemental, so he can still cap his leech rate with the 5% physical. The only generic attack leech is by the duelist and it's 9-13 additional points.

You don't need any cold conversion to get Trinity working if I remember correctly.

Hey Lance! Would Tawhoas Felling not cause this skill to shotgun even harder? yes, you got 46% Phys as Extra damage on that piledriver, but is that better then 2 Triple-Hits with Tawhoas? Heavily thinking about that Hammer recently when i realized how much phys-damage it has.
It does not scale with support gems.

As much as I love slams, I had to stop because the constant warcry sounds were giving me a headache.
Got to the point where I was just looking forward to be back at town/hideout.
I know it sounds piss poor but I do suffer from sensitive hearing and tinnitus, warcry spam just hurts my ears.
I tried muting certain stuff or just the whole game but it ruins it for me.
Guess slams ain’t for me.
personally I don't mind as I mostly play with low sound effect, I like listening to music or video or stream on the side
thats a big F. definitely understand that reasoning though, i have had many builds that I had to stop early just do to noise/visual overload
The first time I played a farrul's fur build the sound of the charges dropping off every couple seconds drove me mad.
