pretty happy w/ how this piece turned out and im glad i got a full recording of the process!! as always, i picked a selection of songs from my junko playlist to go along with the speedpaint, so even if you don't wanna watch the full thing i hope you enjoy the music :3

one thing i absolutely LOVE about this, is that you use references for pretty much everything!! a lot of artists try to avoid it for some reason, it’s one of the most important factors in making art.
People think it's cheating, heck one of my classmates that i have to teach told me they avoided using anything except their brain and i was like "we're in uni how the hell did you even get here?"
@@an0nym0us_slash35 I used to be like that when I was younger, but now I use reference for a lot of things, and my drawings started to improve way more faster than when I didn't use it

this looks amazing!!!! did you create the pose ref on your own or did you find it on google? i always have trouble with proportions so if theres a program that made it that would help me so much!! regardless, your art looks phenomenal always!!! id love to get this as a print one day!!
i created it myself using an online model program!! i dont usually use models but i liked this site bc its pretty straight forward and it was nice to have a reference for such a weird angle: justsketchme.web.app/ i hope that helps!! and thank u sm!!

I feel like music is a huge part of making a speedpaint enjoyable so I try to select songs that fit the vibes of the drawing if I can!! I find a lot of DR fans tend to enjoy YTTD and vice versa so I feel like there's a genre overlap there, tbh I'm a sucker for the killing game trope so ^^; tysm again for being so sweet!!
