    What a beautiful and authentic performance by Anton Birula. Best of the best of Silvius Leopold Weiss's Passacaglia D major. What a beautiful song it is! Amazing!

    I have been in this musical world for a lifetime and I believe this is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard in a plucked instrument. Your sensitivity and interpretation is beyond magical. Thank you for taking the effort to produce such a spectacular recording with the 4 track. I have forgotten how wonderful a recorded sound could be. Bravo Anton!

    Not only is it a beautiful rendition auf Weiss' Passacaglia with a beautiful tone (sound), but the video itself is magnificently composed in photographic terms.
    Almost like a still life. Wonderful, thanks for sharing! :-)

    If I think that I found this master piece of music and musical rendition by pure accident... This is sooo beautifull!!!
    Never heard of S.L. Weiss before starting to browse for lute music: I truly love this music!!!

    I couldn't avoid noticing the very intricate rose of the lute... I came looking for the piece... I really love Weiss' music, and i recently wrote a passacaglia also in D Major, for the baroque guitar.

    Candle light, lute, tape to tape, an organ and an electric guitar. Its like looking at a painting by Chardin. If he'd had a time machine.

    I've never heard lute music before but I'm hooked since watching this series of videos ,it has the quality of a piano a guitar ,and even a harpsichord ,as a guitarist I can't imagine hoe difficult it must be to tune this instrument let alone play it ,,,thanks

    • @johnduncan1489
      @johnduncan1489 8 лет назад +2

      easy to tune, physically harder to play than guitar (lower error margin i.e. it requires more precise movements with errors being much more obvious).

I am looking forward anyway to your future CD. Best regards
