Got one of those typical beautiful St Lucia soaring chorus segments that I first fell in love with way back in about 2014 when I first heard Before the Dive..Lush..
Geez, how amazing it is to have you guys, who, in terms of songwriting, can deliver like it would be taken straight outta Toto, Dua Lipa or War on Drugs' catalog. Future-proof song. Love from Poland!
Love the authenticity, the style and you being your creative selves! You are a kind, positive couple creating enjoyable music for everyone's consumption. Thank you for that! Keep up the great work. I hope you get plenty of love, success, recognition and support from all over the world! 😊
Another instant banger! Your music never ceases to put a smile on my face. As an aspiring song writer myself, you guys are definitely one of my inspirations. Keep up the amazing work 🙏 love from 🇨🇦
Sounds like you guys are on a real 70s kick! The ascending/descending synth reminds me a lot of the tinkling bell sounds Gary Wright makes on the Minimoog in “Dream Weaver.”
just need to write you a quick love letter - as I reflect listening to your new music, I realized its been 11 years of joyfully resonating with and loving on the music you bring to this world! I found you at 17 years old and your first EP was with me through those hard teenage years. Thank you for everything you’ve done to make music that connects with people everywhere❤❤❤ Cant wait to jam with you again in show! you are both incredible!!
Olá Banda explendida e de muito bom gosto. Tenho 70 anos, mas gosto muito desse tipo de música. Jean, esposa e o grupo espetacular. Parabéns a todos. Abraço Jean esposa e ao pequenos. Divaldo Teixeira de Sao Paulo - Brasil
Cant wait to blast this in my minivan. Here in Chicago , and you're truly the only band that currently can make me emotional with your chord changes and directions your songs take me, but more importantly, im so excited to introduce new St. Lucia music to my 8 year old son and hopefully take him to see you in concert. Cheers to you and your amazing ability to make me feel so spirited.
Jean-Phillip & Patti. My wife and I were totally in love with your When The Night album. We saw you live in Melbourne, Australia back in 2014. That album is a masterpiece cover to cover. We played your songs at our wedding, and have so many great memories attached to the album. Matter had moments that match the brilliance, such as Winds of Change. Really struggling to connect with the direction you have taken since, and I say it sincerely as a fan who would buy a When The Night 10 year anniversary vinyl in a heartbeat if you released it, not matter what it costs. Right now, the band we absolutely love is our fellow Aussies, Rufus Du Sol. I have absolutely no doubt that if you were recapture that ethereal nature of When the Night, and took it to that atmospheric EDM realm mixed with instruments that Rufus Du Sol are currently in with their new album Inhale/Exhale, it would be a winning formula and you could 20x your audience. Jean-Phillip, your voice is incredible and would match that direction. Short of that, a collaboration with artists like Odesza with your vocals would be a match made in heaven. While this style is not for me, I wish you well and I hope that the new album does well.
Hello there! First of all, appreciate the honesty, and I will be honest with you too. An artists job is not to 'please' the audience. An artists job is to show the world how we see the world through our eyes and to be honest with you. As much as I like Rufus Du Sol, I have no interest in mimicking what they do, or becoming an easy to pigeonhole artist who makes 'EDM' or 'Rock' or 'Pop' whatever. I, and we as a band, are influenced by a huge multitude of music through the ages, and while I realize that the 'cool' thing to do these days is to just basically rehash the same sound over and over again from album to album, this is not who we are. There is literally no formula to what we do, I allow my muse to guide me and I follow without questioning it or imposing some external idea of what St. Lucia 'should' sound like on top of this incredible gift that the universe has given me. If you want an artist that will continue to give you what you want over and over, please go follow Rüfus Du Sol or whoever else falls into that category. We are not that kind of band. I feel it is my duty to be honest with my audience about who I am, what moves me at this point in my life, and if I weren't doing that I would literally be selling you cheap trash. Also, I don't think what we're doing is a million miles from what we've always done which is write pop songs that have a wide variety of influences but that have a majestic quality. I'm sad to hear it doesn't please you, I appreciate the support but if you want to be catered to I suggest you go elsewhere.
I apologize if the above response came across as rude, but I think it is important that our audience understands where we come from. We literally put everything into this project. Anything we put out is the result of literally years of pretty much full-timer labour and love. So when we put something out, we don't put it out lightly. I love When The Night as much as anyone, but that is a record I made between 2008 and 2013, that's almost 15 years ago. I am no longer that same person, and I feel like I really explored that sound world and it was authentic and honest at the time. You are welcome to listen to that record as much as you want, but it will never be remade, and nor will I attempt to remake it because it's done and I think I did a pretty good job of it. I just really don't understand why people expect artists they listen to to cater to them.

For sure, and nice spot!
El rayo justo al momento donde comienza el solo de guitarra... uffff gracias por tan hermosa pieza musical!
Una de las bandas más infravaloradas dentro del movimiento
Thanks for noticing! It was completely just on accident
My day was already good, imagine my smile when I noticed there was a new St Lucia single!
Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart

The AI generated portions of the video freaked me out
@@NikolasGutierrezCasallas haha understandably so
@StLuciaMusic beautiful music and video tho 😊
Such a simple but striking video. Not sure why you guys felt the need to shoe horn AI stuff into ot that really didn't live up to the real visuals.
It’s called experimentation and embracing new tools! Glad you liked it mostly tho!
