This was Elvis’s ONLY tv appearance between January 1957 (his last performance on Ed Sullivan) and December 1968 (when the Comeback Special originally aired). He was paid a then record fee of $125,000 for 8 minutes.
Elvis was absolutely brilliant. He was one of the pioneers of rock n roll and could sing any other type of music just as well. He was blessed with a great voice but he had more than that, he could truly sing. His dance moves, his style. He took the world by storm and deserved the riches he received. He did so much in an unfortunately short lifetime.
Elvis, still slaying the ladies after nearly half a century. It's so fascinating watching his early stuff once you've seen him older. He just really had it. Multi-talented and a great athlete too. So fun. That was a fun reaction and I'm glad you played it twice since it's so short anyway.
I am an African girl, 🇬🇭 who owned, danced to, watched Elvis on Tv when I was a teenager from the 1960s so don’t know where this girl was! 😂 At 70, I still listen/watch videos, miss Elvis 🩵 🇬🇧
Jane H commenting …. Coming onto your channel for your Elvis Reactions. I’ve been a big fan of Elvis since the mid-1960s & still love watching his videos. He is the greatest singer ever, as far as I’m concerned.
Elvis was decades ahead of his time. It was like if someone from this generation just time warped to 1960 and walked in stage to shock audiences. Black and white fans were blown away with his dancing. His vocal and attitude and dance skills were so much more polished than anyone else of the time... he just taught everyone how to rock. NOONE had his stage PRESENCE ... ALL EYES TO ELVIS.
Over 60 years ago and this song still sounds amazing and women still swoon over Elvis even now and no wonder look at him he had everything he was the ultimate legend his voice was on another level and you are now hooked i loved your reaction hes makes people go weak hes mesmerising and hypnotic ❤
I’d love you to react to the Elvis interview after the army. He says the next thing he has to do is record a show with Frank Sinatra (which this song was part of) It always amazes me how mesmerising he is to listen to even talking, and so we’ll spoken :)
Elvis had just come out of the army 1960 when he sang this but if you want to see his break through yr 4 years earlier there’s a great documentary Elvis 56 👍
He made everything better. I was 15 when this first aired in 1960. He had just returned from serving in the army and this was on Frank Sinatra show. He was paid more money to appear than Frank Sinatra. Have you checked out his duos with Sinatra, on the same show?
There's a reason he is the undisputed King!

Elvis was Mr. Charisma, he knew how to make any song special with his voice, moves and his facial expressions.
