The 930 is better than the 670, mainly because of the Amorphous head, but not only. However they do sound very similar and sound quality is something you can count on when it comes to Yamaha decks, from the lowest to the highest price point, they mainly differ in features. I don't think you should replace the 930 with the AZ7, though I did keep my AZ7 and sold the 670. I think you should have both! The AZ7 plays a bit better in my opinion, thanks to the MR head, but the recording and the overall build quality of the Yamaha will win. Yamaha sounds very analytical and precise, identical to source, while Technics sound gives a more open scene and it is warmer, which I love. This being said, I would not trade my AZ7 for a 930, nor would I trade a 930 for an AZ7. They are both awesome decks and if you have to choose, you will have to listen to both and see which one you like most. I would keep both, if I had both :)

Nice video. Would love to know your opinion. Wich one is better? I own a kx 930 and I intend to replace it with an AZ7. Is it a good idea or not?
