I've been going to concerts since the early 80's, and this was one of the greatest shows I ever saw. Pure magic in the air from beginning to end. You could tell Paul knew it was a special night. Worth the 4 hours it took to get out of there.😂😂😂
I was just thinking about this show and wondered if anyone had grabbed the whole thing. At the time I assumed a DVD was going to be filmed and I know they filmed that VR thing, but nothing else was officially released
I was there! I was in the middle of Row 7 in the pit. The tickets sold out in 10 seconds (literally) so I had to go to a scalper website and paid about $1400 a ticket. As you can see, the price was worth it. This was an amazing night, rivalled only by Joji’s 2023 concert in Oakland and Paul’s 2016 Golden 1 Centre opening. These concerts are probably the most fun times of my life.
I was there. Saw him at the Cow Palace in SF in 1976 and then at Candlestick in 2014 with my son. Very special night including about 6 hours of tailgating at the Stick on final time.
Fav moment was seeing all those grown men in the crowd singing "obladi olblada life goes on ya la la la la la la la!" Oh the power of good music! Been singing that myself for over 50 years and can never help it!
Not sure if this is lost on anyone here, but it's worth noting for Beatles enthusiasts and historians that Paperback Writer and Day Tripper were the two songs off this show he played in that very stadium almost exactly 48 years earlier as a member of the Beatles in their last live performance before a paid audience as The Beatles. By 1966 they had retired songs like All My Loving and I Saw Her Standing There from their live shows, and were moving on to their more surreal music. In the opening riff of Day Tripper here in 2014, you can almost hear George Harrison's sunburst Eppiphone Casino echoing through the park through those new for 1966 Altec-Lansing PA speakers on that same exact riff. I really hope people in that audience in 2014 connected to that.
@@waldobrown9265I got on camera for a reason! its on my channel. It’s shit quality, but it’s mine. I was 12 and could tell that this was something beyond magical.
I had no ticket but was happy enough to hear from the back entry outside until a nice staff person let me past those doors and watch where I could see the Jumbotrons in a safe spot while everything inside was getting dismantled and thrown out around me
This is the show where shady concert promoters deliberately over-sold parking passes, resulting in thousands of ticket-holders missing the show because of the backed-up traffic. A lot of people got ripped off.
@@seltaeb3302 all the Beatle songs….he is a very limited drummer, uses pretty near the same basic pattern for every song….! Maybe your not a drummer or not familiar with Beatle songs from a player standpoint…..!
@@rjmprod In 2002, when this band first played with Paul on tour, Abe was a beast on drums and improvised very impressive, technical drum-fills. However, his boss likes to stick to the script, and Abe's playing is less spontaneous now.
You think he sucks!? Man I hope you are an absolutely amazing drummer! Reason is, with a shitty high on your horse attitude like that, you won't make it and you'll forever wonder why lmao! That would be perfect for you. I bet you NEVER make as much money in one gig as this guy did, and you'll NEVER EVER get close to a real superstar like he did. You just have a shit attitude and NOBODY likes those lol

I was there also with my daughter. What a wonderful night. "A splendid time was had by all."
So many great songs, but "Another day" I feel is the most under-rated.
Im sure there were a few in the crowd that night who had also been at the original Beatles gig in the same stadium 48 years earlier
I like how he opened with a John song.
It isn’t a John song. They wrote it 50-50 and Paul actually came in with the title “Eight Days A Week”

They also did Long Tall Sally as an encore, which he mentions is the last song they did at Candlestick in 1966.
Day Tripper, Yesterday, Paperback Writer and Long Tall Sally
i was too young to get that :(

They also played an electric full band version of yesterday as well
GREAT
damn i remember going to this when i was 11 :)
The Beatles forever ! - Битлз - навсегда !
We love you sir paul mccartney
The beatles nothing matches amazing man,,,
The total crap I hear on the radio makes a song like All Together Now seem like an all-time classic.

Belas
His voice just about holding out but he now has broken it. Please Please Me Paul & adjust your singing somehow?
He has bad nights and worse nights. We’re never going to hear him sing like a bird again.
I wonder how you will sound when you are his age

The drummer uses the same basic beat for all the songs I think he sucks and that’s why the songs drag on. really doesn’t sound like this song should
Which song? Sounds fine to me pal.
