I've started "TODAY" to design my 3D printed pickup winder! We'll compete on the design ;) I'm using 2020 aluminum profiles and i'll use an cheapo 12v drill motor. Everything will be controlled by Arduino and a computer. Nice job!

Right out of the box, he starts talking about parts that he made with a 3D printer.

If you don't have a 3d printer and you don't know anyone with one. Some companies will send you 3d printed parts if you send them files. I'm sure if you were truly interested in this particular design, the video creator would send you the files or, for a small fee, send you all the 3d printed pieces. The price of this completed project is so small compared to commercially available products that some sweat equity is worth it! (speaking as someone who has exactly this winder)
