+M. V. Shooting Well the preceding English is _somewhat_ insulting, if anything the Japanese translation is rather tame by comparison. "Stop fuckin' around! Don't underestimate me! Your dear mother is an uggo!" (I mean seriously, 母ちゃん?)
So an American guy goes to a Japanese store. When the American leaves the store, the Japanese people working there want to be courteous in the American's mother tongue and so they bow low and shout loudly "Hasta la vista baby!"
Wow. After all that japanese, the ONE phrase they chose to use as conversational English was Hasta La Vista. I really want to see an entire conversation done in phrases learned from Zuiikin English.
"What's wrong?" "I have a bad case of diarrhea." "For how long did you have diarrhea?" "Umm... I have a bad case of diarrhea." "We know, but for _how long?_ " "Umm.... Erm..." "I can't know if you don't tell me how long you had diarrhea!" "Umm... Hasta la vista, baby!" *Visible confusion*
This video's lesson is: If you just had a severe stroke which deeply compromises your speech, don't try to be a smartass to some random guy dessed up like the terminator. He's got a plastic weapon on his hand and he'll fire an imaginary shot right at your stomach.
Casting agent: Tell us what roles you've done? Actress: I danced in 90's athletic wear chanting "I have a bad case of diarrhea", and "Hasta la vista, baby!"
I’m so glad that this is what they teach in an English language class, because Hasta La Vista Baby and Get to the Choppa are the two most used phrases.......
the reason why everyone is saying that their Spanish is better than their English is because in Japanese and Spanish the vowels are pronounced essentially the same way
I see clips of these all over RUclips. I would gladly buy this (obviously) VHS set if I could find it. This is comedy gold,🤣 while also teaching English. 🧐
Ah, my favorite Aerobic Exercise videos: Zuiikin's English. This week we will learn the native Spanish dance with an American twist called the "Hasta la vista, baby".
I spend about a quarter of my spare time imagining how amazing a real life conversation would be like with someone that learned English from these videos
A Spanish phrase originally spoken by an Austrian with a thick Austrian accent used in an Japanese TV English course? That has to be some kind of record.
The fact that this is Spanish is acknowledged at about 0:40, where the commentator says "Although this is Spanish, if you're mad that doesn't matter."
Oh, very nice, thanks...
Oh yeah, I hear “Spain-go” in there!
that is amazing
Being angry ALWAYS sounds better in Spanish. 🤭😅🤣
It's funny how the announcer says something along the lines of "these are extreme words, so please be careful if you use them".

Yeah, if you're frozen in liquid nitrogen
Even the dancers say it like that.

I laughed so hard when i got the terminator reference xD
BoglinZilla LOL
And random Asian girls will pop up out of the blue to celebrate your death through some 3rd grade choreography!
sto mach
HAHAHAHA
It really bothers me that they never switch arms when they punch.
Hmmm...I feel the same
Same lmao
SAME
Not switching arms is killing their gains!
I'm not the only one who noticed
*Fun fact:* In the Spanish version of Terminator 2, the T-800, isntead of saying this famous line, he says "Sayonara, baby".
"You bucket of bolts!"
Had to stop the video so I could laugh for a minute straight there. Wtf... and he pronounces everything so exaggerated lol
Of course he does, it's for people learning English.
Casting agent: Tell us what roles you've done?
Actress: I danced in 90's athletic wear chanting "I have a bad case of diarrhea", and "Hasta la vista, baby!"
Don't forget "Take everything you want" and "spare me my life" lol

One of the few Japanese phrases I know, Omae wa mo shindeiru, means "You are already dead." It has a wide variety of uses, especially in hospitals.
It's not a toomah!
Well, their spanish is better than their english xD
They have the same vowels.
A
they have similar phonology
@Keanu Soemali We can't say Js either. What a yoke.
Interesting
I speak native Spanish and they said "hasta la vista" in perfect Spanish accent, which is kind of funny in itself.
0:09 I'm gonna have to remember that one.

So there!
You bucket of bolts!
If they had been wearing their "Fraulein" brand sports bras in this video, we would have had FOUR languages in one video!
*Fräulein 🤓
If the Terminator was programmed by Skynet Japan, he'll perform this dance as well as say the line. :D
You gotta hand it to that guy for knowing he's arguing with a Terminator and insulting his mom.
Learning Spanish within an English lesson? Mind = blown!
Love the '80's Japanese pop-jazz. Classic.
I love how the same drum & bass can be used for any jingle. Versatility at its best!
The sequel to the famous “I have a bad case of diarrhea”.
Certainly explains the shooting a guy dead just for weak insults. A bad case of diarrhea can put even a Terminator in a foul mood.
As a native speaker, this phrase constitutes 20% of my daily conversations. Hasta la vista, baby
Wow best show ever !! they theach you how to say yo moma jokes and how to speak like Terminator

Yeah, the T-1000 was saying lots of jokes to the T-800. The T-800 got tired of the T-1000 making too many jokes at it. Great re enactment!
Are we just gonna overlook the fact that they actually said "la" instead of "ra?"

I can image thousands of situations where you'll need to know how to say "Hasta la vista, baby!", very useful! This can't be meant seriously...

Repeatedly insulting some guy with a leather jacket, sunglasses and a shotgun may not be the best idea...Why was he insulting him anyway?

That could be a bad case of diarrhea.

i love the incredibly difficult dance at the end.

Ok, so this explains why that dude always sounds like he's imitating Arnold Schwarzenegger.
