@thecat246 Reba was offered the role before Miss Peters, but she passed because of her touring schedule. She saw Bernadette in the role and loved the show so much that she signed on to play Annie for 6 months. Her reviews in the part were spectacular, even from Ben Brantley. Reba won a Drama Desk award for this part.

I love Reba!!!! But I'm sorry to say, our "I can do anything" was way much better!! And we are in Memphis!!! Our Annie was amazing!!!! Reba, you are my idol... but Kirie and Kent out acted you in this song :) They were amazing!!!!! Still, I love this musical and Reba is still by favorite singer of all time!!! Way to go Reba!!!
