My favourite show ever. I remember clearly being transfixed by this radio show as a young boy. I know John peel was famous for other reasons, but to me, I’ll always remember him as the master inquisitor. He could probe and delve into the every man’s life without it feeling intrusive
Legendary. I listened to most Saturday morning broadcasts better than its successors and missed.
I cannot express how much I still miss John Peel

Me too.
John Peel & Home Truths was a brilliant programme I enjoyed listening every Saturday morning.

I didn't realise how long it had been since John died. 18 years.. unbelievable.

Brings back memories of Saturday mornings in London
So much better than that shit Saturday Live that they have on R4 now.
I can't understand what they wibble on about now. JP was direct, down to earth and relevant.
@@jorybennett5932 it's all SO woke.
@@jrbs I know I'm preaching to the converted! The whole reason JP had broadcast for as long as he did was he spoke as he found things.
@@jrbs Please explain "Woke".
@@condensedsleep3936 Five months later, and jrbs is still working on it! I wonder why?!
I can see the sea
Is that a Fall album in his hands
It is indeed! The marvellous compilation 'Hip Priest and Kamerads' (which was, by sheer coincidence, my first introduction to the band).
