Her entrance is so strong and you can perfectly see the adulterous and desperate princess who can and will do anything to keep her lover next to her. Cossotto is the best in this role. She is the greatest Amneris,Eboli and Azuncena.She is on fire all the time.Una superba donna.I love her.

Che esagerazione quegli applausi e quelle ovazioni finali. Era in evidente difficoltà nel canto. Quando sei andata avanti per anni solo per dote naturale, ma senza il supporto di una solida tecnica, questi sono i risultati.

I must admit I find it hard to understand the fervently admiratory comments for this video. It is true that Cossotto was truly great in her prime, but she is well past it here, and I personally feel that her timbre has become unpleasant and her vibrato obtrusive.
I too heard her in her prime, and have to agree that the vibrato is a bit wobbly here.
On her worst day she was better than 95% of all the others put together :)

A definitely TIRED voice. She partly makes it up with brilliant technique and histrionic skill, but I shall go back to her earlier performances.
