Full map control basically means that your opponent cannot leave their base as you can punish them. Why Pig said Curly had full map control was because his army of speed lings has the ability to easily destroy the small amount of units Florencio has if he were to ever move out on the map. Essentially if Florencio wants to keep his units alive, he has to surrender the entire map to Curly.

Teh abiltiy to stop production, blocking with terran makes sense... it cost him 100 minerals... so two scvs.. for those depots... hmm if cancelled but of course much easier ot cancel. SO that miss mining right lcick, god, that has happened to be me so much -.- you think they would default auto mine nearest thing, if the building is rallied to self. I would likeot see an official mod play, where at hte start you choose your starting location, if players pick the same spot, it becomes randomized. During the fog of war, you have 30 seconds to pick a starting lcoaiton and your base snaps to that location. Fortnite style battle royal, I think this would add so mcuh more depth and get away from balanced play, but since itsa free choice it technicalyl is balanced. Since you wont really know. Meaning yo ucould choose gold base as a starting choice if its on the map.. unless its blocked... YOu have to pick, a standard cc starting locationing menaing it snaps perfectly into each nook as the choice, not like in teh middle of hte map. This random start location would add another layer to teh start of the game and even map design. Current map deisgns wouldn't make al ot of sense since they have so many dead ends, and so it also keeps up with teh space theme of . bios spawn form the ground, Protoss randomly go the ground and the terran land their cc and begining mining. The way competitive maps are map, you cna make a RMS ai script to make them, they are boring... lakc creativity.. which allows for creative play... I like organic map... identical maps.. meh.. I mean the onyl balance I did in sc1 maps for fun was, wel lthey should ahve a tool in the gui, woudl make it easier, but I would take the default spawn location and then time out how long it takes for x ot get to y. Then what is the heigh of the ground... SO the onyl thing i cared about was the time it takes ot get somewhere and as long as it was the same it stuck, which makes it mostly balanced and then ou work with the terrain. I had 5 maps I wanted to make in my head, but not really a lot of time. The largest delay in making these maps is there is no longer any soudn or good sources, too many idiot websites all trying ot be nubmer one, where peopel taht have minds like me, build things to be fucnitonable so we cna create. Meaning, I was looking for a website that would simple show thubmnail of all the textures in sc2, so I coudl use it as a resoruce to find thetextures I want. The napply it. whihc speeds up the creative process. Then seek out trigger use, for some reason, google, and every other searc hengine could not help me. In sc1... I could do this for map making, sc2 it was sort of like that but it was getting worse.. - mining map. where you start in BL and TR. Diagonal. ON a desert map, its a old earth mining colony. YOu start in a hole, so itsa double ramp out of your main. Main, Ramp, Natural, Ramp, then out about. There is large crates that double rmap through out hte map that you ahve ot go around, that contain larger resoruces of gold ,but have poor vision. to coutner starting in a lower height hte player is given a observation tower inbetween the first ramps to the natural that extends hte vision ot the high ground, so you can be sieged to death... The map is to invoke geological instability, and have background trains running nad feel over mined and dirty. Like it was already a battle ground. - Island warfare. So this map was ocean tile set and beaches and tropics. You start on BL verse TR. The map has a lot of grey airspace.. and every island is connected with bridges or sand bars. There is an expansion potential with limtied space on each island. So the resource limitation on the map is build/ production space, but hte main areas should have more then enough. There are main axis areas and rocks can be destroyed to open up more andm ore island axis areas. So each island is a node or pinch point, making land more difficult. Also there is reaper junction spots, that divert through the water, which also units can be deployed from a air transport on. So a reaper early attack could work. -the THunderdome. This map was an entire circle with a large dome. The the tileset is protoss planet, deep purple rocks formations etc and a air grey zone. There is a continuous path to all the high ground ina circle around the entire map. BL-TR map. The TL and BR positions, have two sets of rocks and a blokcing position. However an early rush coudl take out those rocks and thus another access point ot hte players main area. So the entire map is a 4-6 unit size rim and on the outside of the rim is a grey zone for flying. THen a pretty standard layout towards teh center and tertiary postions for minerals... THe main idea is a high ground ina circle linking all everyones positions only impeded by rocks... The secondary access is to force/ create a different strat and alos makes chekcing corners almsot automatically because of the secondary linked positions. THe TLand BR has a down ramp into a mineral line also protected by rocks. So these reosurces have essentailly protected zones if you only destroy the rock nd requrie air to destroy or you to take out hte rocks before engaging.. Each map had a bit of lore with it but not included. -another map ideal was, a pretty standard map, with no unique features. However, there is limited reources on the map, instead, I run a script trigger of location events that get randomized to playable areas. Of course you do if, x wait x seconds show this ... a shrunk down nuclear rectical appears, random colour orange to blue ot red range. It starts of large and slowly shrinks. So itsa indicator to the player at that point something is happening. As it shrinks to about hte size of a mineral. Trigger screen shake explosion, destroy all players untis buildings in x area, spawn, mineral patch, resoruces randomized 750-1500. So the map constantly has meteor strikes impacting it and reosurces landing during your fights taht are randomized in various zone and timings. Those timings are mirrored to the players sides. This only starts at the 22 minute mark, lathough during gameplay, random screen shakes happen, between variosu intervals. Eventually the game forces a draw, and kills both players as the planet terars itself apart. So this map is basically telling a story... the map kills all players at I thin ti was like 59 minutes or something... regardless how close you are to winning you failed ot win, as a fail safe for free minerals falling for ever form space. This was to convey what its liek to be ina mining core battling for minerals control agianst whomever in teh sector on say this meteor and minerals spawn. So what makes this unique is it forces players to be more mobile with their mining units and locations. I think I had 3 mineral fields to each side and two central and one main.. So 5 total mineral fields... and then the random choas... it starts around 22 minutes and upticks inspaning nad randomness. yeah it can be used tactically to kill units, Units in statis will be destroyed, by a mineral impact, there is no protecting... This is to offset the lower resources on the metoer/planet to convery that need to gain minerals. A random geyers appear also, from those impacts, So IE gas vents erupt from the ground also, WHilse Minerals fall from the heavens, lol. Fuck yeah. - The last map was a wide long map.. where rich vespene is near both players at the start. Positions are TR and BR. Their paths are conncted between a wide ramp but rocks are in the way, the bases are reltively close... SO you cna break down the rocks to get therich vespene and open a avenue ot your opponenet, or go westward in the map that follows a central river. and eventaulyl a high up gold base section on the other side of the map... The map is to invoke a fight or flight scenario in sc2.you cna aggressive expand away or take down the wall and attack your opponenet at their main as early as possible, and the westward positions near the river are ina jungle tile set and hten move up into a protoss palisade tiel set, so its like constructed civil system aroudn htis river, wher eit battles out, the map heighter is quite restricted compared to its width. Making it a narrow corridor to fight in... Main and natural expansion... two river bases, I ahd this one rought draft, but the main delay for the creative endeavour was, too much time wasted in somethign that hsould be easier ot use. lol Even in game you can't really know what hte texture looks like.. lol that was my creative endeavour for sc2 maps... about 9 months ago.. I pass on those ideas maybe inspire, but meh... life is getting to me.

I stand by my position that BC's are extremely overpowered for how safe and effective they are. Nerf the attack speed, armor, warp timing, or something. Just make it so they can't spawn in and immediately teleport to do damage. BC's in the meta are starting to feel like voidrays before they got nerfed.

Teh abiltiy to stop production, blocking with terran makes sense... it cost him 100 minerals... so two scvs.. for those depots... hmm if cancelled but of course much easier ot cancel. Awesome game, lmao. His not mining for several minutes cost him about 260 minerals, but more like 440 minerals since he woudl of been pumping out scvs from the resources. SO that miss mining right lcick, god, that has happened to be me so much -.- you think they would default auto mine nearest thing, if the building is rallied to self.
I would likeot see an official mod play, where at hte start you choose your starting location, if players pick the same spot, it becomes randomized. During the fog of war, you have 30 seconds to pick a starting lcoaiton and your base snaps to that location. Fortnite style battle royal, I think this would add so mcuh more depth and get away from balanced play, but since itsa free choice it technicalyl is balanced. Since you wont really know. Meaning yo ucould choose gold base as a starting choice if its on the map.. unless its blocked... YOu have to pick, a standard cc starting locationing menaing it snaps perfectly into each nook as the choice, not like in teh middle of hte map. This random start location would add another layer to teh start of the game and even map design. Current map deisgns wouldn't make al ot of sense since they have so many dead ends, and so it also keeps up with teh space theme of . bios spawn form the ground, Protoss randomly go the ground and the terran land their cc and begining mining.
The way competitive maps are map, you cna make a RMS ai script to make them, they are boring... lakc creativity.. which allows for creative play... I like organic map... identical maps.. meh.. I mean the onyl balance I did in sc1 maps for fun was, wel lthey should ahve a tool in the gui, woudl make it easier, but I would take the default spawn location and then time out how long it takes for x ot get to y. Then what is the heigh of the ground... SO the onyl thing i cared about was the time it takes ot get somewhere and as long as it was the same it stuck, which makes it mostly balanced and then ou work with the terrain.
I had 5 maps I wanted to make in my head, but not really a lot of time. The largest delay in making these maps is there is no longer any soudn or good sources, too many idiot websites all trying ot be nubmer one, where peopel taht have minds like me, build things to be fucnitonable so we cna create. Meaning, I was looking for a website that would simple show thubmnail of all the textures in sc2, so I coudl use it as a resoruce to find thetextures I want. The napply it. whihc speeds up the creative process. Then seek out trigger use, for some reason, google, and every other searc hengine could not help me. In sc1... I could do this for map making, sc2 it was sort of like that but it was getting worse..
- mining map. where you start in BL and TR. Diagonal. ON a desert map, its a old earth mining colony. YOu start in a hole, so itsa double ramp out of your main. Main, Ramp, Natural, Ramp, then out about. There is large crates that double rmap through out hte map that you ahve ot go around, that contain larger resoruces of gold ,but have poor vision. to coutner starting in a lower height hte player is given a observation tower inbetween the first ramps to the natural that extends hte vision ot the high ground, so you can be sieged to death... The map is to invoke geological instability, and have background trains running nad feel over mined and dirty. Like it was already a battle ground.
- Island warfare. So this map was ocean tile set and beaches and tropics. You start on BL verse TR. The map has a lot of grey airspace.. and every island is connected with bridges or sand bars. There is an expansion potential with limtied space on each island. So the resource limitation on the map is build/ production space, but hte main areas should have more then enough. There are main axis areas and rocks can be destroyed to open up more andm ore island axis areas. So each island is a node or pinch point, making land more difficult. Also there is reaper junction spots, that divert through the water, which also units can be deployed from a air transport on. So a reaper early attack could work.
-the THunderdome. This map was an entire circle with a large dome. The the tileset is protoss planet, deep purple rocks formations etc and a air grey zone. There is a continuous path to all the high ground ina circle around the entire map. BL-TR map. The TL and BR positions, have two sets of rocks and a blokcing position. However an early rush coudl take out those rocks and thus another access point ot hte players main area. So the entire map is a 4-6 unit size rim and on the outside of the rim is a grey zone for flying. THen a pretty standard layout towards teh center and tertiary postions for minerals... THe main idea is a high ground ina circle linking all everyones positions only impeded by rocks... The secondary access is to force/ create a different strat and alos makes chekcing corners almsot automatically because of the secondary linked positions. THe TLand BR has a down ramp into a mineral line also protected by rocks. So these reosurces have essentailly protected zones if you only destroy the rock nd requrie air to destroy or you to take out hte rocks before engaging..
Each map had a bit of lore with it but not included.
-another map ideal was, a pretty standard map, with no unique features. However, there is limited reources on the map, instead, I run a script trigger of location events that get randomized to playable areas. Of course you do if, x wait x seconds show this ... a shrunk down nuclear rectical appears, random colour orange to blue ot red range. It starts of large and slowly shrinks. So itsa indicator to the player at that point something is happening. As it shrinks to about hte size of a mineral. Trigger screen shake explosion, destroy all players untis buildings in x area, spawn, mineral patch, resoruces randomized 750-1500. So the map constantly has meteor strikes impacting it and reosurces landing during your fights taht are randomized in various zone and timings. Those timings are mirrored to the players sides. This only starts at the 22 minute mark, lathough during gameplay, random screen shakes happen, between variosu intervals. Eventually the game forces a draw, and kills both players as the planet terars itself apart. So this map is basically telling a story... the map kills all players at I thin ti was like 59 minutes or something... regardless how close you are to winning you failed ot win, as a fail safe for free minerals falling for ever form space. This was to convey what its liek to be ina mining core battling for minerals control agianst whomever in teh sector on say this meteor and minerals spawn. So what makes this unique is it forces players to be more mobile with their mining units and locations. I think I had 3 mineral fields to each side and two central and one main.. So 5 total mineral fields... and then the random choas... it starts around 22 minutes and upticks inspaning nad randomness. yeah it can be used tactically to kill units, Units in statis will be destroyed, by a mineral impact, there is no protecting... This is to offset the lower resources on the metoer/planet to convery that need to gain minerals. A random geyers appear also, from those impacts, So IE gas vents erupt from the ground also, WHilse Minerals fall from the heavens, lol. Fuck yeah.
- The last map was a wide long map.. where rich vespene is near both players at the start. Positions are TR and BR. Their paths are conncted between a wide ramp but rocks are in the way, the bases are reltively close... SO you cna break down the rocks to get therich vespene and open a avenue ot your opponenet, or go westward in the map that follows a central river. and eventaulyl a high up gold base section on the other side of the map... The map is to invoke a fight or flight scenario in sc2.you cna aggressive expand away or take down the wall and attack your opponenet at their main as early as possible, and the westward positions near the river are ina jungle tile set and hten move up into a protoss palisade tiel set, so its like constructed civil system aroudn htis river, wher eit battles out, the map heighter is quite restricted compared to its width. Making it a narrow corridor to fight in... Main and natural expansion... two river bases, I ahd this one rought draft, but the main delay for the creative endeavour was, too much time wasted in somethign that hsould be easier ot use. lol Even in game you can't really know what hte texture looks like.. lol
that was my creative endeavour for sc2 maps... about 9 months ago.. I pass on those ideas maybe inspire, but meh... life is getting to me.

I stand by my position that BC's are extremely overpowered for how safe and effective they are. Nerf the attack speed, armor, warp timing, or something. Just make it so they can't spawn in and immediately teleport to do damage. BC's in the meta are starting to feel like voidrays before they got nerfed.
