    I as a Souls vet genuinely do not understand how people call this game bad or mid, it has such a vibrant and tasteful atmosphere and lore, the gameplay and unique twist on the souls like genre literally sucked me in and I can’t lie I love it !

      Most of it came from the game being so demanding on people's PCs. Which led to a lot of people calling the game trash along with the reputation the 1st game a lot of people haven't played it or tried looking into it since they've already heard so many people say uts trash

      @BigBroKuma both games are good this game is great first one is good. Why people just follow what others say is crazy to me. Same thing happened with mass effect Andromeda yes when it came out it was buggy facial expressions were weird but after some patches game wasn't bad at all. Why it gets so much hate the combat is way better then mass effect 3. I love the original trilogy very much. But don't mean I have to hate that game people are just weird

    I think it'd be super fun to either play in, or run a D&D campaign set in this world, using your videos as the essential lore-Bible for it.
    Yeah, fuck it, I'm gonna do it.

    Huge video, thank you a lot! Orius church gives me such a wh40k vibes, especially dark crusaders remind radical branch of inquisition, when any means necessary to beat the enemy, even their own heretical tools. Also really glad to hear about DC and their ranks, it clarified the trailer. Hopefully there will be a sequel about the order involved or other two judges.
    Thanks again!

    I always thought our death in the light of orius was actually our "reward" so to speak. Instead of being doomed to be consumed by the lamp, we are instead given a permanent death, to eternally rest within orius' light.

    • @Sometuy11A
      @Sometuy11A 9 месяцев назад +13

      The lampbearer can part with the lamp willingly at any time as Isaac and Hannelore did, and the theme that plays when that happens is titled 'Wrath of Orius' so he just really loathes you rather than it being a reward.

    • @hatefulgaming1800
      @hatefulgaming1800 9 месяцев назад +5

      @@Sometuy11ANeither of those characters got to the same point as us though, who’s to say our character would be able to part with the lamp after everything.

    • @Sometuy11A
      @Sometuy11A 9 месяцев назад +7

      @@hatefulgaming1800 Possible, but until we get instances of lampbearers who were willing and tried to part with the umbral lamp but failed (or even an implication of that), that is the default position and the one with least assumptions.
      Additionally, the OST that plays, as I mentioned, is called 'Wrath of Orius', quite an odd choice of name if the intention of the scene accompanying it was to show (or imply) the God being pleased with the Lampbearer and rewarding them.

    Beautiful! The prelate on the throne is actually First Luminary Casilium, not the Dark Crusader Imperator.

    Due to your videos and my obsession with world building and lore (I blame elden ring) I started playing this and almost done! I will admit I’m glad I saw your videos before going in felt like I understood the world a bit.
    Keep up the good work and definitely worthy of a sub

      So glad to hear it and thanks for the support! Yes, though FromSoft seems to have set a very high bar and expectation, I feel LotF really did well in worldbuilding, aesthetic, and lore. A shame it's early criticism turned many people away

  • @Sometuy11A
    @Sometuy11A 9 месяцев назад +6

    Many thanks!
    Edit: Now that I'm through the entire video, I have to say this has exceeded my expectations. That is some next-level dedication to lore research.
    I want to add the item description of the Devoth rune that might link the church of Orius to the events of the first game and Antanas.
    "One of the Church of Orian Radiance's secret projects of the past was an attempt to use radiant sorcery not to heal a person's physical wounds or afflictions but rather to purge the very aspects of their soul deemed sinful."

      Glad you enjoyed and appreciate the input! Yes, there's another item in Bramis castle that references one of the towers in the original game too (can't recall what it is off the top of my head though) definitely a world with rich lore

    • @Sometuy11A
      @Sometuy11A 9 месяцев назад

      @@TheLorebrarians I find it one of the most interesting and rewarding worlds to learn about; Hexworks outdid themselves with the story; they had a rocky launch for sure, and there are still some technical problems for a lot of people, but it was my personal GOTY.
      I hope for some sort of confirmation about the creation of the world, though. The people of Udirangr attribute it to the first of the beasts (the shield of the first of the beasts), Orism to Orius, and Adyr and his followers to the demon God.
      looking forward to the Adyr video!

    I really want a DLC that focuses on Orius and his church that sent the Dark Crusaders to Mournstead. Adyr is/was extremely interesting(even if his boss fight failed mechanically and aesthetically imo), but I was really hoping to learn more or even see Orius in-game.

    • @joshuakim5240
      @joshuakim5240 9 месяцев назад +6

      Not only that, but Orius' military is cracked asf and the only reason why it didn't roll over Mournstead was because a sizable portion of it are technically also aligned with Judge Cleric's sect.
      The military hierarchy described in the Neophyte, Purger, Vanguard, and Ravager armor sets portray an army way scarier than the Rhogar could ever hope to be.
