Her facts are correct but I can tell you, Zimbabwe has used resources to train doctors and nurses who are now working in South African hospitals. Not only that, as a Doctor she should know that it is not the right thing to talk to a patient in that manner while the people around were laughing. If she had concerns she should have talked to her own government or the Zimbabwean government instead of a poor and sick patient. Shame on her, she is a disgrace to healthcare workers.

The media is so disrespectful. I see this type of behaviour always. They disrespect Dr Motswaledi so much that it pains me and I am not SAcan. They do not have the love of their own citizens- the poorest of the poor who rely on free health care. Some have been waiting on the list for months. Some die in the process. I’m so proud of this woman. Stand for the truth. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what she said or how she said it. If you go to the same Zimbabwe as a South African you don’t get this treatment that they are trying to guilt trip us into giving them.
This is exactly what the communities have been saying and what Operation Dudula is saying. They are straining all the systems of our country and yet our government is hush hush about it. Yet, we cannot and do not go to their countries and do

I agree with MEC, unfortunately some people are abusing our health system.
Tax payers money being wasted.
I know this doesn't concern me as a kenyan but Dr Phophi is right in her argument.
Correct Sir
She is right but telling those to the patient doesn't help the situation
Her facts are correct but I can tell you, Zimbabwe has used resources to train doctors and nurses who are now working in South African hospitals. Not only that, as a Doctor she should know that it is not the right thing to talk to a patient in that manner while the people around were laughing. If she had concerns she should have talked to her own government or the Zimbabwean government instead of a poor and sick patient. Shame on her, she is a disgrace to healthcare workers.
Dr is true tell them because they see this problem but they don't talk about that . You are very strong Dr we love you. Keep it up.
Thank you Dr. You handled this interview very well. You explained everything so well..
Welldone Dr. You are speaking the truth! I fully support your view. None of us was there to observe the full conversation. Shame on the media who make every effort to bring her in bad light by playing around with words. Why do you try and force your opionion on the public hiding behind "the manner in which is was done". You were not there! It is the duty of every citizen to protect our country and our rights. She is right to act, because we cannot sit and wait forever for those that was appointed to act on this, but failed to do so. I thought she did a brilliant job in explaining to this patient how the system works and how the abuse of the system affects other human beings, that are citizens, who have been on the waiting list for years. Out citizens pay the taxes to support the government system, and therefore all OUR OWN citizens should benefit from it.
I am with you Phopi on this 1, tell the truth as is
Truth hurts. MEC is 100% right. People don't want the truth. I travel a lot and I get same question if I can take care of myself medically. Who say they are xenophobic?
