Cowboy Eli didn’t give up, he was just done with his lasso practicing for the day! The quest for perfection is never ending. Don’t stress you back, dude. I had back issues to the point I couldn’t sit, stand, lay down, anything. Chiropractics saved me. My physician told me I should probably have surgery, that’s the only way to fix the issue. I started seeing a chiropractor and frankly it took a while and with adjustments and his instructions as to exercise, the issue seems averted, that is if I don’t do something dumb. Great video, as always. Keep them coming and God bless y’all!

Gabby is coming along really well, don't over do it and hurt yourself more. Glad you are having the horses settled down and have a better routine to keep them calm. Don't want to take the Cowboy out of Eli, he's doing so well and trying so hard. Good to see everyone involved around there, stay safe and keep up the fun too. Fred.

when I have had horses that want to pull and fight, just take the lead rope after snapping on halter, make a loop and place around the nose area, when they pull back, it is a gentle no way Hosea much like a hackamore, now none of my horses ever need a bit, only a Hack when riding them, they love no bit and makes my ride more enjoyable, of course this takes time and patience. wow 4yrs ?

SInce you're doiing the white ceiling, for the accent wall, I'd pick up the mountain colors, the white/greys in a stone like flagstone and pick up all the colors of the landscape. It would be serene and lovely.

You have a talent for telling an ongoing story, and it holds our attention, and we look forward to the next segment. Exposing your kids to the outdoors is the best thing you can do, with all the animals, helping with a little construction here and there, etc., will make them very well rounded. I also think that your homeschooling is a very good idea, especially with all the crud that is being taught in all levels of education these days. Thank you for just sharing 20 minutes here and 20 minutes there. I am not very mobile at this time, but I am very excited about eternity, where God promises us that the meek shall inherit the Earth. May God bless and guide you and your family. Russ from Arizona.

Gabby, the apartment build is beautiful! Your are blessed to have each other as a Family😍 And Jeremy, Take care of your back! I’ve seen where you built your storage/garage, and every building has unfolded before our very eyes on your compound. The building of your home the siding in the windows the antler chandelier that just fits beautifully in the kitchen. The pantry your gardening, your horses. You have done, and shared with us❤. Maybe someday you’ll be able to stop and really see the accomplishments you have made. And especially your travel time vacations and with family.. thank you for bringing us all along with you, and especially the charity work that you’ve done for children and their families . We had a father/son team build mainly the foundation and structure of our house and we did the rest. Our house is a 1 1/2 story Colonial as it's cheaper to build up than out. We did drywall, laid floors, painted, and other odds and ends. To save money we didn't finish the upstairs for a few years. My husband carried an 80 lb sheet of drywall up the stairs and heard a pop in his back. He ended up having surgery for a herniated disc which gave little relief. After years of always staying busy, he is now pretty sedentary due to constant back pain. You're being wise by taking a break and resting your back. You have a beautiful homestead and family!

Every spring I would give each horse a review of ground training. It helped them transition from having time off to going back to work. It also helped to refresh my understanding of each animal and observe where problems were that needed work. While I'm sorry Eli got bucked off I'm glad he didn't get hurt. Knowing how to handle those events is an important part of horse knowledge. Lets hope that doesn't happen again.

I agree with the last statement you made. If we wait to pay attention until we have a birthday party, a wedding, a reunion, a school event, etc., etc., then we lose everything that really sets our family dynamics and the preciousness of our loved ones. A story read on a random day, a water fight on a hot summer day, etc. are the things that really make us tick. Love you guys!

Pretty shortly is a real phrase Melissa. We use it all the time. If someone is coming right away, it is proper English to say they will be here pretty shortly...at least in Canada it is an accepted phrase lol. Gabby is looking great with so much of the drywall put up. I hear you on the burnout thing. By the time I was done my renos last summer, I didn't want to see another contractor or a piece of "building material" for another year. We are getting new windows and a new furnace installed shortly and I am not looking forward to it, BUT, the finished product is always worth it. I hope your back gets better soon Jeremy. Maybe take a full week off and see if that helps. As for up here, we are bracing for a major snowstorm that will start late tonight and carry on through until Monday. They are calling for high winds, and a foot of new snow which ultimately means huge drifts to contend with for my plow. Blah. Come on spring! As always sending love from our acreage to yours.

So nice to know that someone is willing to invest the time & patience for little dynamo Whiskey ... he'll be a good pony once he's trained. I'm also glad nothing was wrong with Lexen. Forget taking all those measurements and the possibility of messing them up. Just cut the section of drywall like the pipe is not there. Next, grab some lipstick (red is the best and get cheap ones). Just coat the outer edge of the pipe, then press the drywall into place over the pipe. This will transfer the location and size to the back of the drywall. Grab your roto zip or hole drill and remove the plug. You don't need a fancy drill to run drywall. Just grab the bit tips that are designed just for that application. It makes it almost impossible to over-sink the screws. Think Philips bit tip with a round ring to only allow the screw to go in a little but not pop the paper.

My wife suggests board and batten or vertical shiplap. Either would add texture to the room while drawing the eye upward. You indicated you wanted the apartment to be different from the main house, so for that reason you might skip stone or dark wood on this build. Everything looks great so far and we are excited to see the cabinet and wall choices.

You guys should take pride! You truly are an American model and modern day pioneer. It’s sad that our young people today don’t have a family model like you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hell Yes !!!. You two, amazing as ever. I thought of something fun while I was watching. A time capsule.... right? A fun little box in a wall? Everybody could do one. Anyway, love it all. Blessings.

We thought that we would see more folks helping you build! Can't believe that just the two of you are building everything! Let alone the children and all creatures great and small that reside with you!

The stone sounds really cool for the accent wall. Especially if the stones are rounded. Contrasts with many straight lines.

Looking good guys! I am waiting to see how the kitchen cabinets will look up against the shorter wall.
