Where you tested on ADHD? Often people with ADHD take very long to fall asleep, because their brains don‘t shut off in bed unlike in people without ADHD. With something in the background the brain can concentrate a little on that instead of having own thoughts and that helps to shut down the brain and fall asleep. I myself play game or movie video essays myself every night and fall asleep much faster that way.

1:54:12 to be fair as well, I doubt banks had insurance policies, so anyone storing their gold inside was absolutely screwed. And in a time where being poor also meant death, well. If Geralt did that, he participated in the deaths of at-least hundreds. (to be fair he's probably killed much more directly, just not villagers and businessmen.)
Many people don't understand the nuances of characters and factions in the witcher. I've seen too many videos where the scoia'tael are portrayed as freedom fighters while completely missing their borderline terrorist behaviour. They see The Order of the Flaming Rose or the Blue Stripes as like some sort of evil organization that fights them at every corner but it's just not true. Glad to see you understand the complexity of characters and factions in the witcher. Not every politician is bad, not every freedom fighter is good, people may sound very rude towards someone but you end up finding out that they're right about them, people may misdirect you and try to use you for their own gain and in my opinion one of the best forshadowings of this is the little cinematic in tw3 where Geralt cracks a treat in his hand and it's full of maggots. This is one of the reasons for my love of the witcher.
Witcher 1 is still my favorite game in the series. Even if the combat and game in general is a little jank, the questing in it is probably the most impactful.

You know… what they really should do is make an expanded edition of the Witcher 3.
