This is top notch! You got inside the track and style which is one thing, found a way to recreate which is another, but to cap it off you describe everything so clearly. Hats off to you!
This is my third How To video that I have worked along with, I finished all over Thanksgiving break. I am going to focus on my own projects again now, with insanely more tips and tricks and overall experience than I had a week ago. I know a lot of what I did, working along with these projects, was above my skill level and it will probably take me a while to internalize everything. That pigment horn envelope detune in the unison is amazing! You should show these sounds in wave table. May be a little harder but the sound is awesome!

this was insane, to the T. his main synth is actually Diva. would love to see a recreation of Soulline (such a beautiful track all around), as I know you're a big Diva user as well.

I've been trying to get this sound with Diva the whole time and destroying my CPU - and I've had Pigments 2 this whole time. Time to revisit my catalog.
Diva is a great synth but Pigments really has itw own unique butter cream sound. I really love it.
i do working a lot with Ableton own Instruments like Wave Table and Operator much less CPU usages.... l
@@Alice-Efe So as an experiment off the back of this, I followed the tutorial using nothing but Ableton devices (basically Analog) - results are pretty good to be honest. @@EdwardWoodcock-IAmFledge Thanks. Checked it out. It eats 1/3 less CPU than with Pigments. But synths don't sound as rich and bold. BTW have the same issue with DIva - destroys the CPU.
@@mindpe Diva indeed murders the CPU. I noticed that especially the amp envelope release is causing problems. So you may want to dial that down where possible!

Love the tutorials but not everyone has pigments which makes it a bit difficult to recreate some of your sounds .. and then i get lost quite quickly in the process
Also, not everyone has a serum or diva ; - ) he featured a lot of synths in different videos. Let my favourite synth to have some spotlight for a moment.
I have also Diva and Serum and some Ableton instruments as well. Idea is basically switching between different instruments and concluding each quarter with a Preset Pack. The "Pigments" phase is about to end as I am almost ready with preset pack though. We gotta pick the next synth :P
@@Alice-Efe Please stick with Pigments, there are already plenty of serum tutorials.
I followed this tutorial - but using only Ableton's Analog. As someone else mentioned in an above comment; it doesn't sound as nice and rich as Pigments, but it gets you most of the way there.
