Looks gorgeous, you can take the sides off the bench, cut it down a bit then pop the sides back on. I upcycle furniture myself & fully appreciate just how much work went into that table. You did a lovely job on it.
I still feel like the bench is the wrong color it doesn’t look like it belongs it looks too short but that’s my opinion for obvious reason it don’t Complement each other thank you for sharing
Mr Wilbur owns my heart!!!!! 💕💕💕💕. Door opening.... Wilbur "Freeeeeeeeeeeeeedooooooooooooooom".....😂😂😂😂😂😂 You did an outstanding job on the table my dear! 👏👏👏👏👏. I'm a mid-century modern girl myself but I LOVE watching how cozy you make your home, 1 project at a time!!! Your home screams LOVE!💕💕💕💕 The bench is such a lovely touch! 😊
Power sanders changed my life! I sanded all the kitchen cabinets, every door and most of the baseboards down to raw wood. What a job, but I love it so much. Just put clear wax on everything and that seems to be holding up well. Here is a tip that took me too long to figure out, but you can paint match raw wood and use that for all those little nooks and crannies and grooves, to save a lot of time and fingers. ☺️. Your table turned out fantastic! Way to go!!!
I have a dark dining table with that same kind of butcher block top. I've been wanting to strip it back to raw wood and have been afraid to do it because I was afraid the sanding could damage the butcher block. Thank you for giving me the courage to move ahead with my project! I love the way your table turned out!
You did a fantastic makeover on this table. This table holds lots of lovely memories as it came from your parents home. It has a new lease of life now and fits in perfectly well with your decor. The Bench takes it to another dimension, keep it. X
Wow!! Great job! I love the raw wood look and the darker wood chairs together. You got an awesome deal on those chairs and I love the style of them. Your home looks so loved and cozy! Great job!
TAAAAAALLLLLLEEEEENNNNNTTTTED!!! I LOVE all of it! What if you sweet talked your Dad to modify the bench? Maybe gently pop off one of the ends, & then saw off the number of inches of width & reapply the end & voila! Table meets bench. Your Dad can do this cause he's good like that. I've seen his work in the playhouse video. Also, just a suggestion, try moving the chairs a couple of inches away from the table (same with bench) & see if you'll like that. IMHO I think it would give the whole setting a more relaxed feel. Much Love sent your way Sweet Girl!
I’m new, just found you. Love it all! If you do more of renovating and such, I’ll be here for life, lol! Now I have to go look and watch your other videos! I wanna see more of your Beautiful home
Love the way your table turned out! I also love the bench, I'd just cut it down a bit so that it will slide in under the table. Your Easter decorations are adorable!
New sub here. I LOVE the table now. It suites your interior better. I like the bench AND the chairs for it. I think either choice is good. Praying you find a shorter bench that fits it better. Your old man pup is SO cute!
I think the bench looks fine. I honestly wouldn’t have noticed that it was bigger if you wouldn’t have said anything. The table turned out SO beautiful!!!! I love the way it came out! 💕
Love the bench! Looks fine, I don’t think u should worry about it being a little too long.. it’s cozy, cottage, French like..so it doesn’t need to be perfect 😊👍
I love your table! Just was thinking 🤔 If you want another little project you could remove one end of the bench. Trim a few inches off and reattach the end. Just a thought!!
My gosh thats wayyyyyyyy too much work!! I just cant do it!! But your table turned out beautiful!! AND I LOVE IT WITH THE BENCH AND THE DIFFERENT COLOR WOOD CHAIRS...ON POINT!
Wonderful job on the table . Although the bench is great with it, imo it doesn't look right being in front of the glass doors. It blocks the flow and also beautiful view.
It turned out so good! Love the thrifted chairs, and I think a bench is such a good idea. I redid our kitchen/dining table last summer and I’m really happy with how it turned out. It was a yellowish blonde wood color, which is not my favorite, but such a good sturdy table. I sanded and stained the top darker, and painted the bottom duck egg blue.😍🥰 I’d really love to have a bench for one side, hoping my husband can put together a simple primitive style one for me.
I love the table it is pretty, but the bench, I like the bench, but just not with the table, the chairs would look better and I'd maybe repaint or strip the chairs because the color is jaring, because of the rest of the kitchen being light colored and Pastels and the chairs are a little dark.
I was thinking of it and I started to paint one white but then I got nervous and didn't want to have to remove the paint if I changed my mind haha I'm going to leave them natural for a bit and see how I feel

Beautiful work!! I really like that you left it all raw wood and I love the bench it reminds me of one we had when I was little
Thank you very much!
Wow!! Great job! I love the raw wood look and the darker wood chairs together. You got an awesome deal on those chairs and I love the style of them. Your home looks so loved and cozy! Great job!
Your table has a new life. Lovely! The room looked so Easter-y and fresh. The sign, super cute over the cupboard.
thank you so much ☺️ 🌷
Gorgeous my dear!! The bench looks great. Just push it back a bit. Looks amazing!! Great job 👏

@@OurLittleNest your welcome
Well done 👏 I love it .
Your existing chairs worked well with the table makeover, can be left as they are. The Bench gives it the WOW factor x
totally agree!
Love it! Looks amazing.
Thanks so much!
Happy Easter 🐣 !! ❤️❤️❤️for me I have Easter this Sunday
Aww!! I hope you have a wonderful Easter!!
I got so many ideas from your last video about decorating the Easter table and the recipes!!!!
You could try making a bench with or without a back. It came out so nice. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.
Great idea!! I saw a bench made from old shutters at an antique shop that I've been wanting to try to make! Maybe I'll do that!
I think white parson’s chairs from IKEA would look awesome!
I would love a big dining table like that! It turned out absolutely stunning!
Thanks so much! 😊 I would love to build a huge farmhouse table in our forever home!
I love your table! Just was thinking 🤔 If you want another little project you could remove one end of the bench. Trim a few inches off and reattach the end. Just a thought!!
So cute I love the bench you could just cut the sides down if you want but I think it looks just great the way it is.
My little dog bolts as well when we let her out! Like don't you love me??😂 Anywaysss the table looked great!
hahaha they are so funny 😂
Hard time... 😮
... But, you did it well♡ congrats, good job.
🇨🇴💯👏
Looks perfect!
thanks so much!!
We need a house tour 😍
This table turned out soooo gorgeous. Love it. I prefer the chairs… the bench doesn’t seem to be functional.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Love the bench! You are super handy...could you pull off the end pieces, cut it down a bit on both sides & reattach the end pieces?
Great idea!
Turned out beautifully! I love the bench with it, too bad you couldn’t shorten the bench a little.
My gosh thats wayyyyyyyy too much work!!
I just cant do it!!
But your table turned out beautiful!! AND I LOVE IT WITH THE BENCH AND THE DIFFERENT COLOR WOOD CHAIRS...ON POINT!
Beautiful Job on the table.. I would paint both chairs black to break the wood color contrast...just a 🤔 thought...
Looks beautiful. And cheak hobby lobby i beleave they have a churh pew bench that will fit.
Muy bonito! ☺️
Nice look
You should paint the chairs black . This is smthn I’m trying to do myself to my table . Thanks for the help

I'm working on a similar table. Did you poly the top ?
Yes I did!
I have a similar setup to this, my bench is a wee bit too long also but I just don't care, I love it!!!
Honestly after I filmed the clip I haven't even thought twice about it being too long! I love it now too!!
@@OurLittleNest 🤗

I’d do the same with the chairs
I started to on one chair but it took FOREVER I don't think I have the patience for it right now 😂
I really like the chairs better than the bench.
I actually love the bench! I've been using the table a lot more now, I never loved sitting on chairs haha
I think if the chairs were painted white like the bench it would look even better!
I was thinking of it and I started to paint one white but then I got nervous and didn't want to have to remove the paint if I changed my mind haha I'm going to leave them natural for a bit and see how I feel
I used Woodglut instructions for this and I already did it :)
Just cut it a little shorter
I may try that!
