Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based off a real serial killer lol (it's the same guy Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs was based on) I think it's just the thing about him wearing a mask made of Human skin (and maybe the cannibalism) but I could be wrong.
Hard agree on parting w books but I have a different reason. I HATE wasting money so when I read sth bad or sth I am no longer interested in I will only get rid of it if I can sell it. I salute people who can just give it away but when I already wasted my time it physically ails me to think I might have also wasted my money on it😭💀

My 5yo is really into the Nightmare Before Xmas this year, so we got a bunch of ornaments for him. It's his fav Xmas movie. He loves oogie boogie but is somehow still terrified of the bumble from Rudolph? I don't understand this kid at all haha.

is Final Girls by Riley Sager? I have the craziest beef with Riley Sager in my mind, I bought and read Survive the Night and that book is terrible. Literally super disjointed and unreliable narrator but not in a purposeful way, it was like 'bad, nonsensical writing because I don't know how to actually write those types of characters.' Wish I hadn't spent my money on that book, ugh.
