It’s these little mods that make me love this channel so much. Your suggestion to swap out the clip on a Sofirn SP10v3 for an Olight one has been bloody brilliant for me. Might have a razz on adding a Niteize clip to my SAK Compact instead of the Key Smart clip I’m using now. Thanks man. Keep the videos coming! 👍🏻👍🏻
I stuck one of those on my Gerber MP600 a few weeks ago. Surprisingly good clip actually, certainly better retention than the official clip I put on my Leatherman Bond. Only downside is the stainless finish doesn't match the black oxide of the Gerber, but whatever. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it for a SAK though, the SwissQlip is a much more elegant solution and is entirely removable if you change your mind. This is much cheaper though.
The SwissQlip doesn't work with alox SAKs either. Anyway I found a more elegant and practical (and cheaper) solution, here in the UK a guy on ebay sells 91mm scales in all colours, plus or standard, with pocket clips screwed in, he did a really nice job on mine, black clips on black scales, even the screws are black so to the untrained eye it looks like it was originally like that. But I'm going to try the hipclip with my Farmer X. They seem to hold up according to others online who have done it.
Okay, purchased their four pack. A while back I purchase a clip, first you must remove the lanyard ring then connect the clip with a screw, this removed the ability to use the lanyard ring. It was okay, but a $17-ish it was too expensive and bulky. Made my own clip from a piece of stainless-steel wire, again it was okay, but not working well. Seeing your video this appears to be the best solution for my Hunstman SAK. Thus for $15-ish four will arrive, three I will need to find something else to clip. Thank you for sharing.
I put a different clip on my SAK and I will say having a clip on it has made it so much handier I was not aware of this product, but I already have a couple of tools I want to add it to, including possibly that SAK.
I started the video and it was just you moving your hands not saying anything. I was like really? A high production video that uses gestures instead of speaking…. I pulled out my phone (was watching on TV) to comment and say man up and speak and you’ll have an amazing video. Only to hear you speak on my phone…. Yup TV was muted. Glad to see you do in fact talk and are very informative! Keep up the great work and thank you 😄
I like using my bibury 19 in 1 multi tool cause I don't mind beating it up but I like too use the belt clip sheath over the pocket clip on the tool itself. How easy would it be to remove that clip? I've never bothered with taking apart any of my multi tool's so I figured I'd ask you since I know you have taken apart many and also have the bibury multitool.
Thanks for the tip, so that's a no-no for my Rebar, as Leatherman's need regular WD40 to stop them rusting. But alox Victorinox don't, you can just wash them in dishwater and don't even need to dry them or oil them afterwards. In fact better not to oil them as it just attracts tiny particles of debris and pocket lint etc.
I have one on my pioneer and it works great. I compressed it on with a vice for 7 hrs to just be safe. I am not gentle with my saks and have had zero issues with retention etc.
Would you recommend this for a Super Tool 300, I can't read the name on the Leatherman besides the Gerber Dual Force, is that the Core? Also will oil affect the adhesion?
@@maxlvledc yeah it's great I just need a quick release for the manager it's sometimes annoying to use with that stuff attached and I also want a way to attach the light to my hat I'm thinking a little Velcro strap but my dream is a magnet stitched into the bill
Very nice little clip mod on the Field Master. I guess you can replace the tape when the adhesive dries and wears off or you can drill holes and put some T6/8 fasteners there. And oh, I wonder if you’ve seen the OEM Swiss Qlip? It’s basically a “knock-off” of the real thing. I got one on my Super Tinker and it’s very nice, got for 5-7 bucks I think. Anyways, love the vid man! You have a great one! 🍻🤙🏼🇵🇭
@@repairmanlevi9656 sorry I was wrong, the clip in the photo on Amazon looks black but the clip is actually shiny stainless. I had forgotten where I had posted this so was waiting for someone to comment asking me about it! Sorry to mislead you.
If you like then u shoulda put a clip on it
You got it! 🤣🤣
Haha!
Hahaha. oh oh oh oooh
Wow, your grasp of English is quite lacking.

I've had one on my Leatherman Juice CX for a couple of years now. Still works wonderfully.
I did this to upgrade my Leatherman rebar cause it didn't have a clip, nite ize makes great stuff. I also love their Steelie and their phone lanyard.
I'm planning on buying a Rebar and adding this clip. Lack of clip is what kept me from buying it.

Unfortunately the swiss q clip doesn't work with plus scales

I added one of these to the back of my Prybrid and it actually made it feel better in hand.

I've had one on my phone for about 8 years. It does exactly what I want it to do.
I have a hip clip on my victorinox multitool. On the side of the knive. So I can locate the knive without looking.
Thank you .. I've not heard of the Hip Clip before
I have one on my phone and it really helps. No more swimming in my pocket (iPhone SE2)
thanks for the video. I was looking at this clip but as it said for mobiles I wasn't sure if I was looking at the right one.
You should add it to the Irwin vise grips and also see if you can put it on the Gerber dual force?
Dual force can almost do it..but the Irwin should work
I'm digging the SVORD knife iv had one for alot of years.
It's such an awesome knife
@@maxlvledc the carbon steel is actually really good stuff.

Haha, 👌
Never thought I'd see something like this. Awesome!
i put that on Surge, 15 minutes tied with 3 zipties. its great, fit to all my belts, very easy to put and remove, not as most knife clips.
Вперше бачу цю кліпсу...
Цікавий варіант, дякую за відео👍
I use these clips Alot too!
Love your videos! How do you remove it as to not ruin the plastic scales? Thank you for this!
I wrap it with a rubber band for 5hrs after applying. Works great !
if you heat the sticky part it can squish down and will adhere better
A wonderful option for SAKs!
where can i order? thank you
I love to see what u got for multi tool nail clippers. I get to many hang nails but for a key ring
The Victorinox keychain clipper is awesome
@@maxlvledc I was looking into the victorinox 580
Added one of these they are easy to fit
Thanks for a great Video. Can you use this on a leather knife sheath?
this is what I use on my Leatherman crunch.
I had one of these stuck to one of my million Juices for years
Never failed or came unstuck. Would definitely recommend
Work on Alox?
does the clip make a small knife too bulky, or uncomfortable to handle? was thinking of adding one to a clasp knife?

Problem is the double sided tape doesn't last...I have 2 of these clips on my 2 multitools and I have to replace the tape about every couple months
Interesting product.
Worth noting that wd40, and quite a few other things, eats through VHB tape pretty easily.
What other things?

Been looking for an excuse to start carrying a Swiss Army knife. Looks like I found one 😎
Once I take it off, can I put it back on? I don’t want to have the logo covered.
Not without new vhb tape
@@maxlvledc Ended up super gluing it. Works well.
Do you still use and enjoy these guys? Any experience with putting them on Alox versions?
Thanks!

Think you could do this to an alox swiss?
Definitely
This was neat! Thank you :)
Anybody know if they work well with alox scales?
Cool beans!

Oil will affect it yes. Use the swab...and it should definitely work on an st300
On a cell phone it keeps your charging port out of pocket lint / dirt
Where did you buy your clip for your nitecore tiki light? What brand is that? Fits perfectly! 😎👌
It's not nitrcore..it's a rovyvon
Do they still make the hip clip
Yep, just not the locking one
I didn’t know they made a locking one
I did this to my Victorinox!!!
I use it on my phone case.
I have an original Leatherman Wave and want a mod for a clip. Can anyone tell me if this will work with that and not overhang length or width wise?
It will work
@@maxlvledc Thank you Sir.
carefully carved the clip outa the package, then ripped the whole package off to get alcohol pad))))) lol
If you french fried when you have pizzaed you're gonna have a bad time
I put this clip on the back of my Nissan key fob and dangle my house key, an i1R2 and a manager

I don't think I'd trust a adhesive strip like that. At the very least it should be JB welded and spot-welded at best.
COOL..!
