Hey jimmy I switched to 5w30 after the first early change…… my 23. At 700 km first early change had a lot of metal. Switched to 5-30 at that point. Second change at 1450km a little metal. The third change at 2600km no metal.
Pretty normal to have some in the first change. I keep hearing about people going to 5w30 and it running so much more quieter with little effects on fuel mileage. How is your fuel mileage.
@ no change as I only had the initial full tank burned before the switch but I didn’t think there was a difference, nothing I can really compare to, I’m ok with it as is
@@JimmyCain1 Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic 5W-30 is a thin 30 weight oil. Viscosity is 9.8 at 100 degrees celsius. At Walmart, 5 quart jug is $24. In Texas, I would only use 0W-20/5W-20 in a hybrid.

I run 0W20 in Winter and 0W40 in Summer...
