Hostas would do well in the area with the tree roots and partial shade! Love David Austen 🌹. One of my favorite rose producers.

Can’t believe your agapanthus are flowering. We’re in zone 9B and no stalks yet. HD had a cart-full with similar two toned agapanthus that refused to sell to me. They said they had to throw away.

Ruby Arias I just planted them-they have a bunch at our local Lowe’s. I’m so sorry you couldn’t purchase any-what a shame to throw them away. I hope I can overwinter them, but will take them in if I have to!

That's so ridiculous. If they're going to throw them out, why not simply give them to you? That really just sounds like some mindless automaton, following orders.

Keren Sanchez yes you can grow them! Usually if you see it in your local nursery it will be good for your zone. I have mine in part shade but they can be grown in full sun here in zone 7. Maybe you’d want to give it a little shade just in case? Either way give it a try!

I notice that you have cats and lilies in your garden. Lilies are poisonous for cats.

Yes, I know. We’ve never had issues the past 7 years!
