@@DreamlessSleepwalker His sixth symphony was completed two years ago, if I recall correctly. I'm sure he's written something more recently, but news (and recordings!) of his works take a long time to spread
@@towardthesea_ I heard it but didn't realise it was so recent, he is surely still keeping it up. I hope he will write more symphonic work, they are always a pleasure to listen to.
I have to agree - I think the cello version might actually be my favorite, it just seems so soulful and human. The oboe version has a sort of calm and mysterious serenity, but here the sound is deeply felt and nearly heart-wrenching.
This is a long shot but; this is azzy. We lost contact and i thought i might be able to find you here. You probably wont ever find this and this comment will just look bizarre, but if you do please reply! If its you who im talking about you'll know.
Not just the best living composer, the best ever, though some might concider that as blasphemy. My family does not agree with me, but they all like this piece. I am trying to get my son to play it on his ullieann pipes…...
It is ridiculous to state "the best ever modern composer", he is one of the most extraordinary. Talent to create is well spread through human. You mean may be he is your fever composer ? He is one my fevered.
Yoshimatsu is the best living composer !
Has he composed recently?

@@mrturtle1128 Does he have some sort of page/blog/social media account? I adore him I wish he would be a bit more public
Drinking a cup of coffe, and see the sunrise in middle of the forest and hear this, the way the light dancing up the tree is so magic
Yoshimatsu is a magician. A composer in a world of wonder!
I have heard the oboe, soprano saxophone and chromatic harmonica taking the melody role. The Cello , here, is really beautiful

Enchantement et ravissement ... de douceurs et d'apaisement ...
musical et visuel !
i almost feel as if it made my hearing better
such a wonderful piece v///v Yoshimatsu deserves so much love...
Арфа и виолончель, как это вкусно. Очень красиво.

Merveilleuse musique. Comme pour Toru Takemitsu, lorsque le Japon rencontre l'Occident, il apporte des sons d'une féerique beauté. Merci beaucoup
Im doing an arrangment of this for solo piano. Pleiade dances have helped me to figure out how Yoshimatsu make like it
if you have the sheet music please could you let me know!!! i’d love to play this!!!

Yoshimatsu bridging the gap with this one ./`
I prefer this version to the one with the oboe as the soloist.
What do you think of the one with harmonica ?!!!
Gracias Icaro
