Good job Polaris. Awesome machine. And of course, well done DT - you gave us exactly what we want and need to know in a succinct and visually pleasing presentation.
Thank you!
Hey DT ! Nice video and review ! Although I'm not a Polaris owner or even a huge fan, No one can deny how them (along with Can Am) keep coming out with awesome new products or additions to an existing model. This Ranger seems like it's very well rounded, like a Multi-tool; it would be Good in all situations instead of being Great in just one situation. I like it a lot, and having waterproof electrical should be a must on every ATV and SXS. thanks for all the great content !
Great insight! Thanks for tuning in.
I have a 2011 Polaris Ranger I bought new and it's been a great machine.
Gator Unleashed me too. Just a little 500 midsize so not near as flashy as the new ones but it gets the job done and have not given me a single issue. Only problem is the camo has faded badly. Bought mine new and have only put 1000 miles on it so far
Definitely the way to go. Don’t have to worry about getting too deep and comes with a winch
In Australia we get the kabota Diesel engine. Farmers love them
The video content is so excellent, congratulations
Nice 👍🏼 super nice so glad the season has started up.
Those water shots are amazing. Very professional presentation. I like your thoughts on “for what” because of the expense we need to know and see what it can do- so thank you for going down that road. Thank you for taking us a long. S
If Polaris took all these extra's and put them in the 1000s, it would be my ideal machine. I would replace my 900s. 60 inch wide, short wheelbase, arched A-arms (i don't need a trailing arm setup) watertight electrics, snorkels, and that weak reverse chain replaced in the transmission. A highlifter trail model. With Fox's QS3's please. Toss on a set of 30 inch Maxis Carnivores, I would be in cutover heaven.
Nice review.
I just bought a 19 Highlifter, added SATV offset a arm & 30” carnivores. I’m okay with the stock shocks for now.
Adding this late but, he never mentioned engine braking or desent control. Why I'd pick this model over the High Lifter.
"i dont like camo" ... wearing a camo sweatshirt
Now if it would come standard with doors.
mausermonger koziczkowski doors could be a standard option but Polaris would have to bump that price tag over 30k
It’s better to have nothing in some case..
@@tommyfortin195 Until a stick comes in the cab and impales me through the chest. We have no groomed trails in Alaska.
mausermonger koziczkowski should come with 28s and doors for sure, I’ve always felt for the price they could have at least some plastic half doors
@@rzr8hunnid517 That is why I bought a Textron Stampede 900. The only problem? No Portals. I can live with that.
What a cool machine! Great review guys!
Thanks so much!
@@dirttraxtv you're welcome! I want one of these so bad! I love my RZR but this would be so handy to have as well.
Wheres the fire extinguisher!.
So the backcountry Ranger is a highlifter Ranger in camo ? Or are there some technical diff´s between the 2 Rangers ?
Had a 17 ranger crew 1000. Traded it two weeks ago for a 19 general crew. Ranger had close to 3200 miles on it when I traded it. So far happy with the general.
Taaa J What are the downsides to the general. That’s what I’m thinking of going with.
The Hunter the pros so far is the ride, it’s basically like driving a car, even through the trails. Ton more speed than the ranger but with all that being said, the maneuverability through the woods feels more difficult. Wider turning radius and from behind the wheel it feels..wider? Best I can describe. I just felt as if before I was taking my ranger crew through a lot tighter places. As time goes on, I may get alittle braver going into more challenging obstacles. But for now, the best way to describe it is comparing the ranger as the “jeep” and the general as the baja buggy of side by sides.
Taking off is a lot smoother in the general as well, compared to the clunkiness of the ranger.
All in all, I would recommend a general over any others. I’ve had other brands but this seems to be the best for me. Any other questions, feel free to ask
Taaa J Awesome. How’s the bed storage? If I was to go deer hunting could I fit a deer in the back?
The Hunter it’s actually not a lot smaller than the ranger bed. Ive actually had 8 50lb bags of feed in there and held it fine. Naturally a deer is gonna be hanging over the sides, but it’ll hold it just fine. The dump on the generals doesn’t seem as easy as the rangers for some reason. Haven’t looked into any adjustment to it, but just seems u gotta really work it to get it released
Taaa J Awesome! It’s sounding better and better.
Do the ranger 150 review
I may have missed it but I never heard you mention belt slippage when wet. Every polaris I have ever been around slipped belts when wet. Is that fixed?
Love our Can-Am Defender XT full cab model. It’s a true workhorse, it’s comfortable, quiet and dependable.
Im confused, does the xp1000 does not have full sealed sealed electronics?
Selling that "vision" at the end 🤣
I love the videos guys...thx!
Not a problem. Thanks for watching!
It's about time someone started talking about LOW RANGE, but how low. I sicken tied of these so called work machines that go 100 mile/hr, I dont mine going fast when fast is needed but when it's time to work and haul, I want a super low gear, is that to much to ask for or what.............
They can pipe snorkels 10 damn feet up if they want until they move the radiator to prevent mud from packing in and plugging it up it doesn’t matter.
They could move it in front of the steering wheel on the dashboard.
guys make rzr turbo s vs bro x3 xrs- i on my new choice task. i pick xpt based on your review on last maverick turbo vs xpt and never sad on it. waiting your new video!
Great reviews. Thanks
this was posted on my birthday
Does the camo still fade
I like the rangers but it would be better with bucket seats
You Got the Money$$$, Polaris has Got the Time....
Numero uno compa!!!
Jefe, what is a plethora?
It's a word they over use since one of them found it in a dictionary. Getting sick of it!
It’s from the movie 3 Amigos!
Hey love the vids
Awesome!
You can choose for one of the above gifts
After owning 3 polaris's i can finally say they re junk!! I since switched to a kawasaki and I am happy. Can't believe i didn't do this alot sooner young 20s attitude i guess, models i had was 2 rzrs and a ranger. all fell apart after 2000 miles with regular maintenace.
So Polaris....the "innovator".....has restyled the front end so it looks like a Defender! Yeah......that's innovation all right!
ummm... polaris had that front before the defender even was manufactured ...
but yeah they basically just made a camo highlifter ranger
I own a Polaris ranger 900 XP HO. It’s been a great machine and all. But if I had to do it all over again I’ll buy a Honda pioneer 1000.
For Alaska lol roughest country anything can go through.
cool ad
Hey
Sell outs
Can am defender XMR is the better version of this trash
Seth the memer boi 420 mad fan boi
Canam is trash. I worked on one that bumped a tree stump at 10 mph and it's a arm looked like a lawn chair. It was a commander 1000 4 and it's a arm was smaller than my 2013 RZR 800 S. It did a massive amount of damage. Canams are hard to work on, and break more often. You don't know what trash is in an ATV you look like you're 8.
Lmao either 8 or a 30 year old Karen 😂😂😂😂
@@treykirk1852 true 🤔 never thought of that
@@treykirk1852 probably 8 judging by the name "seth the member boi 420". Sounds like someone very credible in ATVs don't it I'm sure he has a few on his xbox
