So amazing that the production team actually rebuilt the towers to scale for the film. I heard that most of the $3billion dollar budget went to it. It just sucks that the city forced them to take them down after filming.
Well, that was mainly because they forgot to build it to code. Since it was being used as a movie set, they didn't have to follow all the rules and regulations that come with building skyscrapers people will work in. It was probably weak enough that even something like one plane crashing into it could take it down.
Not physically possible you would have to be lighter than Air.. Your body weight and density will be pulled too hard by the force of The story is a Movie act itself it never happened
I have actually walked, high up, from one tower to the other of the twin towers. It was the twin towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They have a walk way going to each tower.
The scenes of being on the wire between the buildings scared the crap out of me. I have a fear of heights. On 9/11 it was brought home how awful the situation in the towers, behind those trapped, must have been to overcome a fear like tnat and give them the nerve to jump;
They should have let people bet on him making it. If he makes it, he keeps the money. If he dies, all the money goes to the people who bet against him.
Incredible mental and physical discipline. He trained his feet to be super flexible, strong and sensitive like a dancer's feet. The worst thing you have to conquer is your own fear.
Very good question. They actually used a bow to shot light cables across the towers and then they attached heavier cables across and put on radio cable underneath. They also used bows for rigging the cavaleties where attached from the beginning to the heavy wire and so they could rig it safely.
I saw this on an IMAX screen in New York. Pretty incredible experience.

@CharlesHolloman-mj5hy It obviously is possible, and it is pretty well documented what this dude did, plenty of witnesses.

He once said when he walks the wire he doesn’t think death, he feels alive when he walks
Yes. If you don't die! Lol
Out of the ordinary.
How did they get the wire across?
