    I have this watch and love it! On the 20 mm bracelet I think the design is intended in showing the angles cut on the end of the lugs.
    I also put a MM300 clasp on it and it completed the look and feel! Cheers!

      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад +1

      I've never seen the mm300 clasp closely, I imagine that's gonna to be a quality upgrade though. Thanks for watching.

    It is not often mentioned by others - but you nicely articulated it. Sumo does have a jewelry feel to it. Thanks!

    Great review as always! I loved the detail you went into about the lugs, and the honesty. I'd say that's what makes this channel unique. That's one of your differentiators and why you'll continue growing your audience as people discover the channel. Can't wait for the triple header!

    I absolutely love the factory bracelet. Its the only 1 in my opinion that matches the finish perfectly. Only thing I changed was I added a mm ratcheting clasp too mine.

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад +1

      A ratcheting clasp,would be a nice upgrade.

      Jeff D how and where do you get a ratcheting marine master clasp ? Is it hard to and to the bracelet? I just recently got a Blumo and I added an endmill bracelet to mine.

    Just came across your video and it is excellent and timely as I was deciding on pulling the trigger on either a black sumo or a turtle 777 . My main issue is lug to lug length and you touched on this, I have a 7 inch wrist and your SKX wrist shot comparison was exactly what I needed to see. You have new subscriber !

      I did another video comparing the SKX, the Sumo, and the Turtle you should check out.

    • @FINEST-uz9ek
      @FINEST-uz9ek 7 лет назад

      JustBlueFish I just did excellent comparison..... i am a little perplexed because on your prior sumo video the comparison with the SXK showed the sumo as obviously a larger watch but comparatively crazy large. But when you line them up like you have here the sumo looks so much larger than the SKX. This is my dilemma the SXK fits me perfect I have 7 inch wrist and like to add to my Seiko dive watch collection , will the sumo lug to lug length look to large or can a 7 inch wrist carry it with no problem.

    • @FINEST-uz9ek
      @FINEST-uz9ek 7 лет назад

      I meant "not comparatively larger" on prior sumo video when compared to 007

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад

      The Sumo is big, no doubt about it. That said on my 7" wrist I could wear either just fine, though I tend to prefer smaller watches so favor the SKX.

  • @jeffd3802
    @jeffd3802 7 лет назад +1

    One thing i did notice out of 5 sumos ive owned. 2 of them had alignment issues and 1 of thwm had a bezel that u could actually pull off with a little force. Other than that they are def a bang 4 your buck watch.

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад +1

      Seiko has some awful quality control. Usually you get a watch that's pretty good, but 1 out of 5 always seem to have some issues.

  • @KRW628
    @KRW628 7 лет назад +3

    I wear the 031 (black) Sumo, and it is a terrific piece. I wouldn't change a thing. Well, that's quite not true. I did change the bracelet for a Bond NATO (which gives it that SPECTRE vibe). I'd say that for less than $500, it's hard to get more watch for your money than the Sumo. It works with casual wear. It works with a suit (they're calling them dress divers).

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад +1

      If I were buying one with my own money I'd go with the 031 as well. I prefer black watches. But having one on loan for the review beats spending a chunk of cash!

    • @KRW628
      @KRW628 7 лет назад +3

      UPDATE - off with the Bond NATO, on with the Endmill

    • @KRW628
      @KRW628 7 лет назад +2

      on the Bond NATO, it looks cool. on the Endmill, it's looks BAAAD!

  • @WuBloodKin09
    @WuBloodKin09 7 лет назад +4

    Definitely thinking about pulling the trigger on this but the black version and change the bracelet to a Strapcode Endmill it will balance the watch being that its top heavy...once again another great review...can't wait for the comparison video. Thanks JBF!

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад +1

      I'd go with the black version if I were buying one as well. The blue is nice, and I'm happy to have it loaned to me for the review, but I prefer black dial/bezel divers.

      Wu-Blood Kin do it you won’t regret it, it’s exactly what I have done to mine and it’s now perfect 👌

  • @giangvu7902
    @giangvu7902 7 лет назад +2

    I have the black version and love this watch. The finishing of the case is definitely better than the SKX and the Turtle; the bracelet is more solidly built too. Very nice offering from Seiko. My copy runs 6 to 7 seconds slow a day, which is okay but I prefer it runs faster as compared to slower. Bezel action is the best among all my watches.

  • @planetdee3587
    @planetdee3587 4 года назад

    The clasp can be replaced for the MM300 clasp but the finishing just does not match as well. If you can gwt around that, the clasp use to run for about $85. But for me the different finishing bothered me, especially when my Sumo was brand new.

    Hey Guy! I love your videos and the way you present them in such clean and honest manner. I think you should start your own Facebook group and get a community of watch enthusiasts up and running. Recently, a very popular group has been administered by a..shall we say..dictator, who has been on a power craze and has started deleting comments he deemed 'inappropriate'.
    If you do pls let us know and I assure you that you'll get a very healthy following. After all, no one wants to be in a virtual North Korea.

    Steinhart OVM 42mm or a Blumo?
    On paper, maybe OVM, but Blumo has an exquisite case.

      JustBlueFish I like a lot of Casio Digital Watches, either black rubber/resin or plastic Watches like the G Shock 5600 that you reviewed, f-105 & w-59, w-800h-1av, etc, as well as metal stainless steel silver or black Watches from Seiko, Fossil, Guess, Armitron, Caravelle, etc! 😉

    Thanks for the vid. I feel like with many of Seiko's watches, the designers were just told 'Do something different'. The results as we can see can be quirky and definitely stand out. I'm glad Seiko does this, watches especially modern divers can look pretty bland. I would like to see smaller pieces from them though, I barely have the wrist for an SKX let alone the rest of their divers. Also, more sun-burst dials and applied markers, they add so much depth to the face of any watch :)

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад

      Thanks for watching and the comments. Speaking of size, the SKX013 is a 38mm model, have you tried that diver? It's a good bit smaller than the SKX007/009. Here's a link to Amazon for the model I'm talking about: amzn.to/2sKo8dc

    It's a shame that Seiko doesn't make end links that are matching to the case for the Sumo. The SKX end links are a much better match to the case. They look like generic end links and would keep me from buying this on a bracelet. Very nice review though!

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад

      Thanks for watching. The end links are often a weak spot on those more affordable watches, they sometimes feel like an afterthought.

    I've got this watch..I do like it a lot but it has things i don't like about it...I love the overall case design but not the bracelet and clasp..I don't like the text on the dial..the old one looked a lot better..i don't like the handset..the movement is great..i like the way it works..nothing wrong there..the main thing i don't like about it, is it doesn't look right with any other strap..unless it's a rubber strap with curved lug ends..[i don't like rubber straps]..yeah it looks ok with a Strapcode bracelet..but it should come with a bracelet that actually fits properly..you shouldn't need to buy an aftermarket bracelet to make it look right...I don't like the blue i prefer the black..but i have the blue one..lol..it needs to be improved..

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  7 лет назад +2

      Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts on the Sumo. I'm more of a black Watch guy too, but this blue one was loaned to me for the review. If I was spending my money on it I'd do the black version.

      I guess so, I didn't price check them in the past, that's just what I've seen them going for today. Watch prices do fluctuate quite a bit based on availability, I have found, so that doesn't surprise me.

    Del reloj y sus características habla poco y nada, todo lo que dice son tonterías sobre lo que a èl le gusta o no le gusta, puras subjetividades. Parlotea como un loro bla bla bla bla y no dice nada, de los 28 min podría haberse resumido en 3 y era lo mismo. Pésimo review, no pierdan el tiempo.

    • @JustBlueFish
      @JustBlueFish  6 лет назад

      Thank god for google and translator software. Perhaps ya didn’t like the review because you don’t speak English? While some of the views expressed are certainly subjective and my personal opinions, which should be expected if you’re at all familiar with how product reviews work, I certainly did cover the features of the watch in ample detail. People like yourself only want their own opinions reinforced and are looking for self validation. Sorry that’s not what I provide here. Look elsewhere.

    • @navegarte

      Que sabes vos si yo no hablo ingles? Quizas no quiera hablar ingles, ustedes con su soberbia piensan que todos debemos hablar SU idioma, pues yo no, pero que no escriba aqui en ingles no quiere decir que no lo hable. Asi como opinas cualquier estupidez sobre gente que no conoces lo mismo haces con el reloj: tu review es un espanto, no salis del megusta y el no me gusta, de relojes no sabes NADA. Es una completa perdida de tiempo leerte. Y sino entendes lo que te digo anda y aprende español. Bye
