- Both static machines and flex machines are designed to play audio on the Elektron Octatrack, but they offer distinct functionalities tailored to different needs. In this video, we'll explore the differences between these two machine types and discuss when and why you might choose one over the other. Stay tuned to understand how to optimize your audio production with the right machine choice!

Love the short and sweet tips/educationals between long form streams
Glad you like them!
Same! Both formats have their benefits 👌🏻
Changed the outro music, the original being forever goated, but honestly, I’m not mad at it
It’s still that music for the streams! I like to switch the short form videos music around 😂
this is super useful. i'm a few months into learning the octatrack. there were a few points i feel it would be nice to go deeper on, such as the flex audio editor options and perhaps some examples to keep ram usage down. really nice tips here, thanks.
Gosh I love the Octatrack so much
my brain: flex trax
hey man great rundown! short and sweet. actually wait this vid is too long! 😂
I Love these basic but so important subjects 🙌
Random thought, I would like to see a in depth wavetable focused digi box similar to digitone where there are fewer tracks but more depth rather than the model cycles/syntakt machines they feature
That editor difference got me good in the beginning...Thought I was losing my mind! I wish there was a quick load function to dump static into flex for editing purposes (like on the Edit menu > Reload into Flex editor).
Very useful! Thanks!!!
Thanks Matt!
Awesome 👏 Thanks for these videos! (Will check later🙏)
That's so interesting, I've just been in that moment when I had to decide what to use. I went for static and it paid off ;)
this new intro tune is fantastic ,brings me in a fairy world xD you are the best matt !
Love the short videos. Keeps me focused on learning one idea at a time..
I use static so much because no RAM limit
Hi @ezbot
Love your work and all your Electronowledge!
I wanna buy one of your Octatrack templates…. But at this point I’m not sure which one is for me.
Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered…
But could tell me which template is best for which purpose?
I’m stuck between Performance and hybrid. But open to whatever.
I have the OT, Dtakt and Dtone. I like to experiment, produce and perform. And would like to have sampling and resampling capabilities…
But then again, I don’t know what’s all possible, so kinda wanna have it all… lol
Thanks a bunch
When it comes to Elektron I get them all
:)
Hey! What was the name of that group THAT HAD ONE GUY ON A MIXER THAT DECIDED WHAT THE AUDIENCE WOULD HERE mean while the other guys just made music or baselines and what not?
I’m rambling now but I know you talked about them after a gig you had.
Can’t find the episode
Love you stuff man!
I don't know! haha, sorry
No, you’re a flux slot! 😜
That stache is looking extra crispy ;)
Clear and concise. More of these please!
