The game never teaches you about using the wait command to charge special attacks, but Miki can get her bomb consistently if you wait 2 turns in a row first.
Want to clear up a little bit of misinformation. It's the bankruptcy part. The whole reason they did Kichikuou is not because of bankruptcy but because they had too much lore that they were worried they wouldn't be able to survive long enough to actually tell it all.
Oh ok. I wasn't entirely sure for the video. The only source I have to go off is the fandom and they didn't source any interviews, kinda just word of mouth to work off of. I probably missed something or just filled the blanks on my own.
@@weebshiz lore of Rance + System of domination with strategy. It was one of the best decisions Alicesoft made. with the exception of some parts, which are a little unfair, this game manages to be perfect (in my opinion). I think it's amazing how a game from the 90's still has so much content that even today new things are discovered.
@@AsukaOlorion Honestly the bulk of the issues for me were just the game being a product of its time. It took me a while to set up an emulator of it and there were quite a few bugs, especially with audio. But the game is so good that these complaints aren't that big of an issue.
I didn't necessarily hate 4.1/4.2, those games were just a massive downgrade from 4. I can go back and have fun playing 4 but I don't really feel the same towards 4.1/4.2. And yeah my feelings on 5D are pretty mixed. The roulette/gambling mechanics in the game are fun as gimmicks but I don't think they work too well as basic mechanics to a game. If I'm remembering correctly there is a boss in chapter 3 that you straight up get soft locked at if you either didn't reach level 20, didn't slot rance attack, or just get really unlucky with rolls during combat. I don't really like aspects like that and the game has too many aspects like this that it takes away from my enjoyment.
@@weebshiz Those are side game you can beat in around 3 hours, they aren't meant to be better than anything. Same goes for 5D. I swear some people just want the series to always one up itself or be this grand epic adventure all the time, which it is plainly not.
@@lemonov3031 I never said that 4.1/2 and 5D had to one up the previous entries. All I said is that 4.1/2 was a downgrade and that 5D had mechanics that I didn't like. You can have a game be smaller in scale and still be enjoyable compared to the previous entry. Rance 4 is a good example. Rance 3 was a massive scale game. You stop an invading army whilst fighting a demon king as the final boss. In comparison, all you do is Rance 4 is fuck around on some floating rock. Yet I prefer 4 because the mechanics and story were executed much better. And I'm not sure where you got the sentiment that 5D is a "side game". The game is a soft reboot of the franchise. It's a pretty essential game series moving forward. That's all the more reason why I am critical of its mechanics.
Rance III is actually good and has a banger soundtrack.
Just play the remake
It's better

Yeah but wait has to succeed three times so i prefer just taking the 1/10 chance of it happening with regular attacks
"The second game in the series that's actually good." Spot-on, and yes, Rance IV is definitely the other one.

@@weebshiz No worries at all. Just wanted to clear that up since a lot of people go by that information.
Cant believe they turned the hentai into a strategy game
It do be like that
@@weebshiz Now do one on Kamidori Alchemy Meister
@@FearsomeForeskin I never finished the game. I got past the prologue but never got back to it, might be time to do that.
not really. The hentai is a adaptation of the remake of the first game.
I kinda miss the ruin scavenging on Rance IV, though
You don't use the loli version of Mill? Unbased
This game is great
It's really good and holds up pretty well by todays standard's.

Not watching it because 4.1/4.2 are good. I have a feeling you are also the type to hate 5D which makes me want to watch you eveb less
